TrackMania² Canyon
There will also be first beta TM² key to winning. Only players of TMN and TMU tournament can participate. There is one key every 8 players. The more players, more there will be key to winning. To win, it will be a game outside the main event where everyone a chance to win.

very dissapointed Nadeo. I know there is gamescom, e3 and other events, but what's about other countries? No chance to get a beta key the regular way? I didn't except that from nadeo .. they are giving beta keys to somebody who plays there and probably just plays the beta for fun. I thought it would be a closed one, but this is not a closed, this is a semi-open for everyone who can visit the lan party/win a competition/ win ,,stupid games´´.... Really very dissapointed

( Same to shootmania)

I can understand your disappointment Max, but it's not a big surprise. Nadeo are a French company, it will be easier for them if most of the beta feedback is in French, at least to start with.
I am always really impressed how well everyone speaks English, but I am sure there are sometimes words that non-native English speakers have to check - this would slow down the beta testing and we will all have to wait longer for the release!

I'm not sure they want only french or french-speaking beta-testers. They have lots of ways to recruit beta-testers and you shouldn't believe the beta-testers will be ONLY those of the Lille Arena.
I read on the french official forum a feedback from a beta-tester of United/Forever.
[direct link to the topic] He said he won a beta-key at the "Hylissian games" but it was really hard for him to take part to the conversation because it was in english. He said there are lots of english technical words and dozens of new topics to check and understand each evening. His conclusion is that if you can hardly take part to the talks on this Maniaplanet forum in the english section, you may not be useful as a beta-tester. Plus, when you have a bug to report, you need to check if it has already been reported or not, which implies to watch again lots of topics. If you report something that as already been reported, you make Nadeo lose time... And you pollute the forums.
Implicitly, he said everybody should think twice before to ask for a beta-key.
Reading this, i don't really understand why Nadeo gives beta-keys at the Lille Arena. But maybe it's also a way to motivate players to come in Lille and thus to support Trackmania in this event. Besides, Lille is at the very North of France and is closer to London, Brussels or even Amsterdam than to the southern France... I believe some foreigners can make the move (for instance i heared several Belgian players will come).
Anyway, I believe there will be lots other means to get a beta-key... And i'm pretty confident in that.

Of course we've to check lots of words...
(At least for me, but in the end it doesn't prevent me to say what i have to say ^^)

I agree to you 100% . That's what I said, why does nadeo gives beta keys away in the lille arena? It's not about the language, because everyone can join it.
I know what you must do at a closed beta and what'S the honor to get in there. I never said that I want to get into the closed beta ( for 100% sure when it's holidays), because it would be mabye stressful when it's not in the holidays. Many people do not understand that closed, means closed, even not nadeo.
The statement from this topic (romain mentioned) is the opposite of the thing with beta key in the Lille Arena. They say that you need some requirements to get into the beta but on the other site they give beta keys to ,,random´´ people. This is not the right quoice I guess.
so I'm dissappointed: I thought that the closed beta would be something special ( again I never think that I will get into it). When the beta keys from the Lille Arena are for the OPEN BETA, then it would be ok.
That's why I want a statement from a developer about the closed and open beta please.
Sincerely,
Max

By the way, be careful with TM-Actu's news. Here, the
older french-speaking news is more accurate.
Nadeo offers 1 "beta
2" key for each 8 players of the TMU and TMN tournaments. Thus, the more registered players, the more keys to win. "Beta 2" means there are keys for the beginning of the second beta phase, ie about one month after the beginning of the closed beta.
In other words, they win a semi-open-beta key.

ah okay thanks for this one. Then this topic is away. Again this is a proof that Nadeo knows what they are doing. Why does the English news not have the same info as the french one?

At the origin, TM-Actu was a french website with only news in french. They started to translate the news in english in order to make the site accessible for players from abroad, but they lack people to translate the news (some newsers are not fluent enough in english, other ones are too lazy, some doesn't have enough time, and so on). I believe as long as all the newsers will remain french, TM-Actu will be slowen-down in its internationalization. For sure, they need foreign applicants.
Besides, maybe they believe that an event in France interests only Frenchmen.

Thank you for the information and the better translation.
I have no problem with it, as it's a beta 2 key.

Would be stupid...
