There is no Add Button. I call it in Firefox 28.0 http://xxxxxxx.xx/adminserv/index.php

I can make it manuell in the script. But i dont want this.

The permissions are correct set. The one Server wich i config at the startupinstallation on the Tool works fine.

Edit: OK the right URL ist: http://xxxxxxxx.xx/adminserv/config/index.php
Then i can Add new Servers.

Next question: Where i can Add a second Admin with his own Password?

Thks for help

We are both right - both my URL and yours take the viewer to the same page.

The users are: 'SuperAdmin', 'Admin' and 'User' - that's already set in the system.
So now I guess you're going to ask how to make (e.g.) Tommy a User or Admin ...... well, that isn't something I have needed to do and I don't think the system provides for more than the three users above. I have not looked all the way through the latest version, so I may be wrong. This may be something you can edit in the adminlevel.cfg.php file...
Someone else might like to answer this for Flighthigh?

Cheers :pil

PS I just found it! In the Server config page, there's a button 'Add Level'. That takes you to a page where it looks like you can create a 'level' which could actually be just one 'user' - Tommy or whoever. To test, I created a new level 'nighthawk' & selected the SuperAdmin tab - it works the same as the base SuperAdmin level. :)

And then i found a little bug: on Serversite / the Uptime of a Server

Code: Select all

Uptime 1j, 4h 28min 29sec
I think the j must be an d

A system like we have seen from RemoteCp is not (yet) coded for AdminServ.
Has been discussed 1 time before, so never coded

In an earlier version of adminserv, I got around this by creating two instances of adminserv - extracting the .zip file into two folders, 'adminserv' and 'adminserv2'.
This allowed me to set up servers, SuperAdmin, Admin etc for each package. That means I could include only the servers intended for each SuperAdmin - and each had its own password. That worked ok for me...

I do not see how that works from nighthawk, since the only 3 levels to the server still stays masteradmin, admin, user

I do can tell you how things are organized within LYNX.

We only use 1 admin for a server, multiple operators.
- Operators do not have acces to adminserv, they can do their stuff ingame with the controller. (xaseco2, mpaseco, expansion)
- Admins have only acces to their server, which is logical

- Gamemanagers have acces as masteradmin, they can do all the server of their environment

TIP: If u use 1 dedicated server for all, use the basemap function wich prevent from all added maps to end up in one single directory.
Didnt see that on nighthawks settings

I have a friend with a Canyonserver on my V-Server. And there for i want to give him Adminright to this Server only. I'm the Masteradmin and have 2 Servers too what i managed and his Server too. But it is no Problem to make two Folder. One with his Server only and for me all 3 Servers.
I can live with this

Yes weerwolf, I only have the three base users but I do have multiple folders which allow other MasterAdmins to access ONLY their servers. E.g
Bag Racing - me: http://223.252.25.121/adminserv3/ SuperAdmin p/w = xxxxxx

Madhouse - mikey: http://223.252.25.121/madhouse/adminserv/ SuperAdmin p/w = yyyyyy
I have others... *Oops! mikey's is out-of-date!

I also created a blank entry for the 'server' named 'Select Server'. This allows the server name which (in default settings) always seems impossible to select after logging in - it appears at the top and cannot be selected when you want to change from another server below to it...

You will see a user 'nighthawk' in one of these pages - that's what I made yesterday just messing around - it is exactly the same as SuperAdmin with same password.

I have set up each actual server with it's own tm folder, controller. map folders etc as you say. Not one map storage location - that might change with TM3 :).
Thanks mate
