hmm, there were a lot of people complaining about the fact that the attacker did not had the time to see a rocket being fired before shooting. So, when they gave their hit by being in movement, they would not be able to fire again. Since there is at least some delay because of the ping, it was more logical to let a chance for the attacker to know when it would generate a +0 or +1. Someone asked for a longer delay, I suppose a shorter delay would increase the intensity of closer fight. I will let some time to see how it should be set better, if it has to change.

About the new ping, there are various reasons for it. I had long discussions about it before. If the goal now is to add more complexity, I am also working on things about this. I think that less wallhack is better for the moment.

I have no idea what you talking about really, but, why not allow server to set up all this stuff when
creating a server ? this way it can be "all in one" very simple, every one happy :clap:

This sounds like a good idea in my ears anyhow.. ;)

DAMN always entering a server with pass and pressing ENTER crashes and closes the game ... fix it PLEASE! its annoying

hi hylis and everyone else,
first i want to thank nadeo for staying close with the community to develop the best as its possible :thumbsup:

but my main reason is to make some suggestion for the movementsystem.
have you think about the following to increase the staminareload when the player is in the air? that would allow to continue sprinting with some jumps, i guess the gameplay would be a bit faster, and the loss of speed would not be so frustrating.

an other suggestions is for the bouncing rocketsystem. i guess the bouncing rocketfunktion is at the moment nearly usless, maybe it would be better if the defenders (in elite mode) can choose between two rocketlaunchers (but only caring one for sure), the first ist the normal rocketlauncher with normal funktion, and the second shoots bouncing rockets, but ony have 2 rockets for the reload. this gives the defenders more options for taktics and the bouncingrockets would be playable but mybe not overpowerd.

Okay, lets get some things straight.

People should calm the fuck down and stop being so angry. It's about giving feedback. Don't yell and give proper feedback instead.
The game is still in beta and without the feedback it won't go forward..

Anyways, the beta 2.1!

- Sound was fixed in 2.1b(thank god, it was horrible before). Keep it!

- The +0. It's perfect now. No need for more change there tbh. Keep it!

- Ping.
People claiming that it's pointless can't have played much before typing it. The ping is still very overpowered imo and it requires not much skill to just hold the crosshair on the enemy all the time. But yes, it's for sure a step forward. All changes that requires the team to use better voicecommunication and teamplay is good! Still needs tweaking with it to find the right balance. But we're on the way for sure. Like cl0ck said, having 3 seconds wallhack is way2much. If you ping him once you'll basically have him pinged rest of round because it's so easy to prefire the ping.

- FPS optimization?
I for sure haven't felt anything. (i7 3770K, MSI Geforce GTX 680 Lightning, 8gb 1866mhz dd3) and it feels like I got worse FPS to be honest. Sure, I still I have very good FPS but it should be higher and it actually dropped some with beta 2.1. Maybe spend more time looking into that. Fix!

- Slides/Hook
Not only did Talespins map(which I like btw!) get ruined by the nerf of slides but almost all TimeAttck maps. So many maps with world records is impossible to beat now because you cant swing proper anymore etc. It was good before, don't fix something thats not broken!! All the guys who created maps got their maps ruined now. Not fair to them I'd say. Also it feels quite slow now. Yeah like I said. Don't fix something thats not broken! :) Fix!

- UI
I read something about faster UI? I haven't felt that either, in fact it might have gotten slower at some points. It freezes, not really as smooth I'd say. I might be mistaken but I don't think I am. If anyone else felt it please back me up on this. Otherwise it looks better, eventhough the search button was gone, its now back. How can you forget? ;).

i ahve the same feeling ui = slower, and ingame fps dropped of about ~40 fps

i got like 130 fps now (only lol) on the castle for example where is used to have ~ 250 fps.

ah and before i forget to tell (i think many wrote that) the shadows of the maps are screwed over again. i dont know how that can happan but yeh. its like all maps are having buggy shadows again and there has been no fix for that before :'( (running through the dark shadows on collided, at the att spawn side, makes you nearly invisible btw.)

i73930 k 32gb ddr3 1600 mhz ram 680 gtx 4gb and 128 gb crucial m4 ssd (were the game is installed on).

The new sound at the beginning of each round (Elite) is very stressful/dissonant, it needs to be reworked.
