No, the first one won't be free.

I very much doubt they will make the first one free. They haven't announced that any will be free, but if they did, a better business model would be to build the TM2 community first with a few environments and then release a free one to everyone. Then those who play for free will see the paid updates and may chose to spend money. Do it the other way round and they will see no return on their investment for months.

As long as they don't make something free that they have already charged some players for (ie make the first enviro free after a year) I will be happy. Ando of course, personally I am happpy to pay for all of the updates - it depends if they want to do something like TMN for TM2.

It sounds pretty interesting.

As I understood, new environments won't be free. So I'm curious, will there be a way to check a "demo version" of a new environment before paying for it?
And if new stuff will be really distributed for money, I don't really like it as I'm just a poor student.

I also hope there won't be any kind of "unfair" things for Russia like it was with TMUF. To be precise, when Forever was released, TMUF boxes appeared in stores, and they had a CD-key for 6 month. So all guys who started playing United with Forever release had to buy unlimited keys later in order to continue playing the game.
Buka, Russian publisher, said that they had to sell TMUF with not unlimited keys because of Nadeo's demand.

Hmm forgot10 I don't know that were are accounts you can just use for 6 months :O I think here in Germany aren't such versions...
To my question:
For TM2 for example it will may take 3 years until you have there 3 enviroments. So what's about the grafik assistance? After 3 years there are thousend new posibilities and TM2 may can't keep step with other games. So are there permanent updates or are the updates in the new envies, if you buy them, or are there no updates for grafic engines?
Without chaos, the order would be lame^^

Good question!
I think there won't be any big updates in the newer environments, because it could be too much work... But I'm sure that it'll take less than 3 years until you have 3 TM² Environments. I hope it'll take maximal 2 years :?

maybe it could be similar to the TMO history. From my point of view, it still look ok after seven years.
the graphic engine can be improved at the same time as other feature. Only the production will have to stay the same. This is also good for user created blocs to do so.

I think user created blocks would give too much variety, for me the fun of building is doing something new with limited blocks!
