Would be nice if the car physics are like the of a dodge vipe with rear powaa (e.g. in gran turismo 2:)
Massive powaa, but the heck is sliding form left to right ^^

I just hope we don't get drift-based gameplay in an environment, unless it's like Stadium where it actually takes some skill to drift for an advantage rather than "my car loses grip all the time but it's still faster so whatever".

Actually, i ment a willing to drift car that is more efficient when we prevent the drift ;)

How do Nadeo plan to decide which Envi to release at the start? Assuming we only begin with 1 TM2 environment it seems a big gamble which to choose.

For example, I don't like Coast or Speed very much, so wouldn't play a game that is just one of those very much. So I wonder what Nadeo would do to get the most people from TMUF and non TM gamers to try the first part of TM2. Stadium worked well as a stand alone game, would any of the other 6 environments have been enough to launch a game b y themselves??

This for me is a big concern...

I would say, they take the first envi, which has a very easy driving style (let's hope it isn't to stadium like ^^), so that most people will enjoy it.

we launched the beta of TM with desert and people seemed to enjoy it even if it has it own style.
so, making separate release requires more universal gameplay but also justify making them different. Which is quite complicated, I agree
but our new driving model has a good potential. We will see how it goes from there.

For my opinion every enviroment of TM is good. I like some more (like Coast) than others(like Rally and Island because they suck a bit then you drive with keyboard) but I think they complete each other. I like the unreal enviroments as good as the real enviroments. I ever drive a mix between the enviroments. Ever the same is lame :( So I think that the comming enviroments in TM2 are well done too from Nadeo :) I'm just worry that one enviroment at first isn't varied enought. So I hope there are different grounds(streets) there you can drive on(like in Rally). The other hope is that you can choose an other weather. So if it rain the car has an other grip. But I think it won't be there in TM2, or?^^
But I think you will done your best and I will like your enviroments :)

I guess changeable weather won't be there. It is just not typical for TM.
I also like every Envi of TM and I haven't got one favourite all the time. Sometimes I have more fun driving Rally, the other times I'm more into driving Island (only Stadium I don't want to play as often as the others).

hmm we're talking about the new trackmania, and after NADEO has made seven wonderful environments, some people are still worried that the 8th will not be diverse enough?! o.O' come on, have the slightest bit of faith in the built-up experience of your favorite developper. :D
