After the great success of the 1st cup, this is the time to really carry this mode. Let's the hype not falling ... and it can falls rapidly
If Nadeo wants this mode to become popular in the deepest of the community, Chase accessibility and comprehension must be really improved for the noobies ! As you said, lots of things could be improved, but the comprehension of this mode is a crucial issue. I won't speak about other improvements.
As long as noobies can launch a match without knowing well the mechanics, the mode in its public form will always struggle (noobs are like "WTF why I lost, why I won, what is this fucking mode i don't understand a shit,..." ... and other players who already know this mode ragging because of these chase noobs).
As I told before, it wouldn't be a huge effort of coding to correct that. There are many solutions :
- implement a questionnaire of 2 or 3 questions about the key rules of this mode, with the explanations above of course
- better, implement a kind of forced video tutorial, when you enter the lobby for example
- you can also force this tutorial video when you close a pop-up message that explains the rules (like TA info), if you don't tick a really small box in the window (you must have the possibility to not watch this video of course, but it has to be forced if you don't make any effort of watching this rules window
)
- and so on ...
We can do this tutorial video.
