e.g.: E03 - Vertigo
C12 - Flying Paradise
B06 - randomname
Everyone has the numbers to orientate AND still a trackname. Even on servers you'll identify them, as the tracks a have a number tag (e.g."B12")

But maybe it's just too complicated
I don't think it complicates anything.
That's the way I name all my tracks IE: D-017 Refinery.
It gives it a reference number but also personalizes it.

It wasn't meant to be serious. It was a joke ;)

Yes, I'm aware that it was sarcasm.
I was really just agreeing with your solution of mixing number and name.
I think it's a good idea.

It is a good idea as it means English Speakers have a name and number of the track and non-English Speakers can also relate to a number.

This might be an interesting read to some of you. Not exactly TM2 related, though.

It has been quite a long time with not much word on MP 2.0... Will we have a release date for it or will we just wake up one day and TM says "You have an Update"?

I do wish they would post an ETA on new content but of course then people would expect everything to go perfectly and be on time.

Finally there is some TM² news too.
Since the NDA has been lift yesterday on the ShootMania Alpha, you might have noticed that the game runs in an advanced version of ManiaLive.
In fact this is ManiaPlanet 2.0 what you see, and it will be available for TM² too.
As you can see here at the start of the movie, ManiaPlanet 2 is more of an overlapping layer.
You can have more games as you can see in the video, there are "joust" and "elite" that are proposed as different games, each with their own main menu, that is similar as the one we see in TM² (singleplayer, multiplayer, profile, editor etc).
We can easily see TM² as one of the games, besides the ShootMania ones.
There is a much more evolved buddylist, where you can see what game they play and where, a serverlist including filters, like "only show servers with games i own" etc.

Maybe some more info has been released about this, i would appreciate if you link me, as there is sooo much and i haven't got time to watch it all (i have a life  )

To be more precise, Joust and Elite are new environments, and not completely new games.
Currently they are there only to test different game modes of ShootMania. Joust and Elite will most probably have different blocks not added yet.
The only new things to be released are ShootMania Storm and along with this ManiaPlanet 2.0.
Hopefully there will be minor update of Canyon as well.
