Hey TM Lovers,
Here's my opinion: the game is still the awesome game we're used to play, graphic is so much better and the solo campaign is really interesting (a part from the great amount of dirt parts ). Those lights and shadows makes it much more interesting and a lot of tracks can be based on that.
The price is the LOWEST they could have set and we should really thank Nadeo to have let us play so many years for free (as others said). Moreover they have to earn something for the tough work they did during these years.

Now the problems
@ eyebo: FS players know that the sick cam change has been fixed, but there's still a big problem: speedsliding.
Does Nadeo want to reduce (making it much harder) that kind of bug so that not every fs map is based on that?
Beside that, many players are interested in tmx / mx and seeing how the leaderboards work was terrible. But we're gonna talk directly to mx admins to understand the reasons of that choice.

Now the real big problem: I think that the only thing we all don't want to see is a splitted community. So we must do something to avoid that. For example the new blocks were a very good idea. I think you tried to eliminate bugs (landing bugs above all) but it must have been tough, so no complains about it.
What about shop distribution? Many guys don't / can't buy online, but I think you've considered this aspect.

Get a life and stop your useless rambling . What is it your trying to prove anyway ??? You would have to be 1 of the worst types of people that try to denegrate a game that soo many people enjoy to the max. Call yourself a part of the community - ppffff .. jokes on you buddy..
As far as i'm aware (FROM READING MANY OF THE VARIOUS FORUMS) , Nadeo let everyone know their intentions and you seem to be unable to accept this..
This game is constantly changing and the sooner you realise this and accept it .. the sooner you might get to enjoy the hard efforts that the small team at Nadeo has to constantly provide to please us .. the humble , impatient , arrogant and mostly polite mania addicts.
And BTW .. stadium is not even my preferred envi but I can bring myself to accept Nadeo's decision making process to try and make the broad based population content and happy.
You can't please some all of the time but you can please some most of the time..
Anyhow - i'm having lots 'o fun on the new campaign maps/tracks and might even bring myself to building a stadium map with them new blocks ..

Lewis (bl.r lewis ? :p) Community is already divided even more than during the beta, as some teams decide to switch to tm², and others to stay on tmnf.
Speed drift on tm² is basically the same, just harder to hold, but for me it feels more realistic as it is now a real slide and not just black tyre marks. It's as easy to hold it at high speed, i just feel like it triggers less good at lower speeds.

The point i'm trying to prove is that community is dying already on it's own, no need to accelerate that by dividing it.

Oh and i'm really not the only one being surprised negatively by that hurried release, just go around team forums you will see that most reactions are not really positive, it's for most not about the money, but about the lack of a free version.

And stop comparing CoD to TM please, really not the same thing.

One thing is true, most of the TM players are under 18 years old, so they just can't buy the game so easily. And yes, the community is divided, only 10 persons of my country (chile) play TM2, the others stay in TMNF.

Here, there's two kinds of persons. The ones who are dreaming and saying all is going well. For them, the only thing I can say is that open your eyes! Liking a community isn't trying to say all is well all is beautiful, and following it to its end, blinded by passion. Go look at community's forums! There are some other who are daring & trying to explain the real problems (Thanks Alex, frostBeule, BassH & some others my brain doesn't remember your name on this topic, you're showing you're REALLY one part of this community, and you think as well for it.).

I think most of us are agreeing with this point : it's a great thing Nadeo did this stadium² and brings some new platforms (I appreciate what you're doing with them), new blocks, new graphic engine, new solo tracks... etc. I also admire (and have played) what you're doing since 2002 and nations. I thank you for giving a chance to tmnf community with this new opus.

But what's the main problems? Price isn't the main problem! (but payment on internet is one)

No COMMUNICATION... A manner to force sale... No other reason, that's not the first game Nadeo makes out, so there's not other solution except marketing one. That's really bad to use this community, you also like, for that, and play with players' passion. Btw, don't forget that your 12 millions of players we boasted to have in tmnf are thanks to the free part!
This situation is currently dividing tmnf community, and freezing positions...
Then, not any THANKS for beta-testers, except force them to buy the game to continue their projects if they hadn't bought the game.
Then, for the game in itself, you did new blocks, well, but where are these dirt blocks asked by mappers since months & months? Landing, border, banking bugs are still here and some other appeared... Why not support Slig with Dedimania? Is there anyone here who can imagine a trackmania without dedimania? Dedimania isn't a personal initiative, dedimania is trackmania.

Explain me now how I can convince players to switch on stadium² and not on LOL? Yep, community is also affected by attractivity of other games while some are leaving the game because of Nadeo... By saying that, I'm just realistic.

Guys, whatever you can say, a loads of people are leaving the game (wrongly or rightly isn't the question), stop this hemorrhage!

I'm not saying that to hurt you and Nadeo Hylis, just saying that to make you waking up about stadium question... For a game I like, for a game I played hundreds & hundreds of hours and I want to play some other hundreds of hour, for a community I want seeing grow up again.

Then, please please, change your manner of acting, if you don't wanna see the chronic of the passion of Hylis & his peers annihilated by Ubisoft wanting to make profits.

- This is your first post on maniaplanet forums, meaning you played 4 months as beta tester and did report NOTHING, so who is not communicating?
- Stadium is brought to Maniaplanet because WE ASKED IT. Normally this would not be so, and normaly after some time a old game is plunged.
- A community grows around a game, not by a game. (edit: i mean a gamemaker cant create a community - its started by the consumers, maintains by consumers, and yes dies by consumers eventually. in my feeling that is Nations/United community dissapears - maniaplanet community rises )

Manu, is it not the last critic people can find when it is about the way things are said, more than the things themselves? I don't say we can't communicate better, I just say that it is not the priority.

The priority is to bring a future for Stadium & the team behind, and that we did what was the best we can find for it, according to our knowledge of the situation, that is much bigger than what players can have, of course.

Many people that fear division are not stopping trying to divide themselves and are the most likely to accuse us of it. It is logical, since they feel that something is wrong, they say that there is two types of people: the dreamers & them. But, if you fear things, don't blame us on it. Look at the fact, feel the interest of having Stadium into Maniaplanet and stop losing time trying to divide like you are doing, because whatever you say, that's the fact that matters, not the words. And that's why I don't fear to communicate with you like this, and that you should not fear to hurt me. Because if your accusation is about communication, and not fact, then it is little and does not hurt me, don't be afraid.

Weerwolf, we're talking about Nadeo, so what if he did not write anything before ? I don't see what that have to do with Nadeo's lack on communication. And i'm pretty sure Nadeo would NOT have left it's most famous game behind to make other ones on Maniaplanet.

Hylis communicating might not be the priority, however it would not have taken any time to announce release, and MAYBE, just saying MAYBE, say at any point that the game would not have a free version at release.

And you might think communication is not important, but it's the only reason why LOTS of people in the community are leaving it at the moment, or are going back to tmnf.

Oh, and if you look at the facts, community is decreasing, less and less people play TM, and there is at the moment 4 times as many players on TMNF as on TM². We are not trying to make community divided, but to get them to react to things, so that we can ALL move forward.
