It was done with an environment mixing mod. (very fun tool)

I agree. I loved making tracks in Rally with coast physics. It felt more realistic to me.
The env/mix really expanded the track making possibilities. I don't see any reason it couldn't be an official implemented feature. For example, Let's say you have Canyon and buy Valley. You could choose to use the Canyon car on Valley Tracks or Valley car on Canyon Tracks. Of course you would have to choose the car/physics before building the track similar to how we choose time of day or mods now.

Yeah for me, coast physics can stay in coast, and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. :roflol:

You know EnvMix didn't happen in United for many many years after it had been out, and it was the result of a lot of hard work by someone trying to hack the code to allow it to happen.

We don't even have Valley or Stadium yet in TM2 and we're already talking about it. :?

Somehow, this is where my brain goes when everyone starts talking about EnvMix already....

Father: "Hey son, I have a surprise for you!"
Son: "Really dad, what is it?"
Father: "Follow me."
Son: "Ok"
Father pulls the sheet off the brand new sports car
Son: "Whaaaaat?!? This is for me? :o You're the best dad ever!"
Father: "Here's the keys. Take good care of her."
Son: "Thanks dad. Well, first things first. I'm going to change out the engine for something less powerful, and then change the wheels out for some monster truck tires. And last but not least, I'm going to paint it with nyan cats all over it. I know it was meant to be a sleek muscle car, and I know you just gave it to me. But wouldn't it be cooler with all those modifications?"
