on russian forums someone suggested to change sound quality to normal... in launcher settings ofc.

Hey, thanks for that hint. It works just fine, but the point still remains, that the engine sound disappears at random, if you enable high sound quality in the settings.

i used to have that same bug when the sound volume was simply put too low. maybe if you pump up your volume a bit that it suddenly appears again.

Yeah, good guess, but I play with the sound on my speakers through an amplifier, so windows sound is always at maximum.

usually it wasn't even my windows sound volume, but the ingame one that was too low (lower than the first bar).

but if it was a mp 2.0 bug, is it fixed with yesterday's update?

A new bug ?? not sure but since compulsory updates that I had installed (~69mb and ~59mb ) , about 6 hours ago , have a problem within the actual playing of a map. Map loads and then 3 2 1 GO from start block , usually "default" view of car and then at about 15 meters into race the view suddenly changes to "behind" view and you have to press button to change back to "default" view. The "behind" view also happens at start sometimes. Have gone and checked all of my player and general key settings but still no change
Have tried closing game and restarting and just using default player imput settings but still no change
Please help as this is such an annoying problem
Anyone else out there experiencing the same problems or have any ideas as to how to fix or is this just one i'm stuck with??

P.S. car sounds are better after latest updates

that is very weird. someone maybe got a solution for it? i doubt that it's a bug, since if it were, and everybody would have had that problem, this thread would've been flooded with it!

@stevenamtaan: Does that happen on any map or just the same one? It could be the map author made camera changes with the mediatracker.

btw: there is no look back feature yet
and i dont think it will come becouse maniaplanet is about to make simplified games i guess

why would you need it in no-collisions game?

@ zarexz , I have this "cam" issue , regardless of which map I play. Only came about after updates and so looks like i'm the only one
@ lufti its not the look backwards cam but the "behind" cam - num 1 on keyboard and the "defualt" view cam is normally num 2 on keyboard. The behind cam positions camera at about 10+ meters behind car and at about 2 -3 meters elevation while default at about 3 meters behind car and maybe 1.5 meters elevation. I did not change anything to make this happen and have tried looking at config settings but no luck . Very strange
