Sorry for bumping, but I thought we could use this topic to discuss.

Can we expect a new TrackMania 2 environment announced this year? The time gap between Canyon and Valley was 2 years. Now it's been an year since Valley and possibly one year till the release of the next environment. So maybe a trailer this year?

edit: Forgot about Stadium, but that is a bonus environment imo.

Most probably no new announcement this year. As you know, Hylis is very very carful about announcements, he prefers to surprise the people.
My guess is he will unveil new stuff at the next edition of the Gamer's Assembly in April 2015

I'd love to get at least a tiny little bit of information, so we know that/what is coming. This way it builds up more motivation to wait and play the game. There is a German saying: "Vorfreude ist die beste Freude" (anticipation is the best type of joy)

I just wish Nadeo would "accidentily" leak a screenshot or another little detail. This way it wouldn't even harm if things aren't final yet.

I'd love to get a Christmas present from Nadeo

It would be quite a shame if we don't learn more about the next env. this year. Indeed, Nadeo is pretty good at making surprises, the Stadium 2 announcement was really unpredictable.

Also, would it be the last environment for TM2? Because I heard they planned to make 3 environments for each game, and Stadium as a bonus.

As Hylis said before "2015 will be the year of TrackMania", I think that will be a good moment for a new environment, when it comes. I expect TrackMania 2:Lagoon (as it seems to be called in the script in ManiaPlanet and has been shown in some concept-art) by that time.

Wondering whether an alpha/beta will be usefull for a new environment, might be good to got the community on track with all tools/sites/mapbuilding/etc. And maybe to help tweak the gameplay/handling a bit.

We'll see ... I guess we just have to be patient to await the "Year of TrackMania"

When will Nadeo create a new TrackMania?

When it's done.
