Hmmm... I read this article and inside I haven't found nothing really new or suprising.

The main things mentioned there are:
+ simillar to previous TM's, but prettier,
+ it is strongly linked to ManiaPlanet (well, we knew that ^^)
+ in-game currency is used to trade maps, in tournaments, on ads campaign, etc...
+ game has really good performance. Maps load almost instantly (!!!)
+ game supports only Race mode (puzzle, stunt and other are not included),
+ split screen mode available,
+ game compute shadows on custom tracks (as well when we enter race mode from editor),
+ atm planned only digital distribution,
+ wide customisation possibilities,

However did you know that?
+ planets will be given to players for logging in to the game (propably daily bonus as with coppers),
+ conversions (I dunno what they mean. Mods?) of the mania-titles made by users will be added to ManiaPlanet,

Question to Nadeo: it's 100% sure we can use PaySafeCard to buy TM²? Or, when we can get more information about this? ;)

I have decided to make the best choices for the games and I believe for the gamers. I know that box are cool and I bought many in my life. At the moment, there is not a good solution for boxed products like maniaplanet, so I have to make it digital. Paiement methods are still being worked out, but we are also taking good care that players will have access to it from many ways. It depends of countries and there are many evolution in that way. Just look at paysafecard if you want to see one, but there are many other ways.

actually , I'm 100% sure that paysafecard will be available. But at other cards such as walliecard, cashU , Ukash I'm not sure. Paysafecard is the biggest virtual card of the world. Nadeo would be stupid for not implenting paysafecard in tm2, because it's a virtual game. Virtual games do need virtual cards ,otherwise many young people wouldn't buy the game ( parents don't allow it, parents don't want online paying...) or someone who doesn't have an credit card.

Sincerely,

Max

I honestly don't understand the point of the list... Payment is an easy thing to work out -- everyone wants to help you spend your money. The real question is the method of digital distribution. I imagine with the pay-to-play format of the various environments, a p2p solution will be the most likely (or at least the most efficient)...

Edit: Of course, Nadeo won't have a whole lot to do with distribution and payment... that'll be handled by the publisher, Ubisoft obviously, which I'm sure will be able to figure out something workable.

...since i want to answer to a rather off-topic post (at least my answer would have been^^) from the dream hack thread, i will give my answer here instead :- )

+1

Maybe there could be a way for 'early adopters' to purchase TM² Canyon already in August (maybe similar to the 10'000 downloadable international licenses of TM United in November 2006),

maybe people would have to sign with the purchase that it is still beta phase and that they are aware that there still might be bugs and maybe even sign some kind of 'Non Disclosure Agreement' about not posting reviews of the pre-release version,

of course this only would make sense for long time TM entusiasts, but maybe this would still be a good idea to cater to the group of long time TM enthusiasts :- )

i hope so too, i only use PaySafeCard* as online payment and since the SteamStore started to accept PaySafeCard i finally started to fall in love with the SteamStore (for various reasons i have a huge aversion against CreditCards^ ^)

* (Max, bka 'wiidesire', did a very nice job listing PaySafeCard and other online-payment alternatives here in this thread)

thanks occam, many people don‘t understand what‘s the point of this thread. Trackmania 2 will be only available on the internet. This thread is 1. for people who don‘t know how to buy the game for different reasons and 2. a suggestion to Nadeo to import this cards into their payment system. For me paysafecard is the best anonymous payment in the world. Walliecard and cashU/Ukash are based on the same idea , but they are not so popular

http://www.paybycash.com/
it will be useful to those who can't buy pre-paid cards in their countries

thank you vritra

but paybycash is not a credit card, where you can register and make your own account and getting credit with many services , it just includes many services like paysafecard, ukash, cashu, walliecard , mostly just bank transferring. So it's not useful here ;)
