The problems are coming when > 4 players, then the serv seems to be mad :)

I personally think a server-laddersystem like the TM2 is making no sense at all for Shootmania!
All SM-Servers should be 0-50K or updateable to 0-90K or 60-90K and thats it!

If i check the current laddersystem on the playerpage for Shootmania i get shocked :shock:
Please stop that insanity to limit the player maximum at shootmania servers! :teub:

20 players max on a 70K server .. wtf!?
16 players max on a 60K server .. wtf!?
8 players max on a 90K server for sure (like i know nadeo) ... rofl, sorry.

A shooter with limited player max .. lol .. funkiller deluxe!

:idea: Which makes sense for Trackmania does NOT make any sense for Shootmania!

In my opinion is less then a playermax of 24 kinda stupid in shootmania!
The dedi servers can handle a LOT MORE of players without any problem and if some players got lags or got any other problems they should better buy better pc's and better internet connections inestad of nadeo limiting the player max to insanity! :(

My servers are kinda sleeping even if they are full with 32 players!
Server load and memory usage is a joke. My servers could maybe handle 100+ players. But i limited them to 32 max as more wont make sense as the max map size is too small for 32+ players (in my opinion).

Laddersystem (for server-limits and rules) for shootmania is just useless in my eyes.
I would let the users and server admins decide how many players they wanna accept on their servers, no matter if 60K 70K 80K 90K or 100K server!

But sorry, a shooter server with 8 or 16 player max is a joke for me, then i prefer to stay at 60K at all of our 6 servers before i limit the fun of the players. So i vote for free server limit decision by the server admins. :thumbsup:

Only the hardware and ressources of a dedicated server should limit the max player amount and not nadeo!
(for shootmania, in trackmania 2 everything is fine).

But this is only my personal opinion. others may think different.

So if I play on your server and have laggs I should buy a new computer ? Your are not seriously trying to say that the latest dedicated server version running fine with a lot of players ? I agree with you at the laddersystem but the statement about the dedi server is just wrong.

I never said that i am running the latest (well know as lag)-version on my servers :D
Don't know where you got this false information from ;)

And yes, if someone is currently playing at one of our servers and having lags, then in 99,5% of all cases it is his old or weak graphic card and/or miserable slow internet connection. There is only a short lag of a few seconds if players join our servers the first time as some data is preloaded, but this is only happening the first time if he connects and then never again (except he clears his cache).

Sure, dedi server versions vary in bugs and lags, depending on the version you use. Thats right, but if nadeo will release a bug- and release-free version in future - accentuation on if - then it will be no problem at all to handle a very high numbers of players at a decent server.

So back to topic:
Nadeo needs to optimize and adjust the dedi-ladder server system without ignoring the feedback and positive ideas from us, the community. Thats what is the base statement. :thumbsup:
