"Dear player, in order to bring you the new ManiaPlanet Universe, we have to go for some changes which will effect the UI and other things. Please apologize for any inconveniences and be patient until we release it fully" or something like this. :?:
Please show me where I could have read that Wednesday 19-2012 between 20:00h and 21:00h Vulcan Timezone :teub:
Come on... What I meant is that it would have been better to have sent this e-mail in time already before they launched any of the new updates, e.g. at the start of the first ShootMania beta a few months ago.
Agreed it is too late now.
And you did not read that I also wrote that probably many players don't read anything until they have some issues,
apparently like you had ;)
Keep cool, it's only a game, and it will get better next year

I'm always cool unless people talk nonsence.

But, okay, you really suggested that, sorry, I thought you were sarcastic.
And yes, I read the forum multiple times a day so a global anouncement would have been an option. The thing is, I think, Nadeo isn't used to tell about updates in advance simply because they don't know if they are gonna make the set deadline.

Well, the beta update was announced already one or two weeks ago, and this on the official page, and then a few also wrote it in the forum. Certainly there were too many messages to read them all ;)
And the last warning was in fact the update message in the game itself  (this is a bit sarcastic, yes ;) )

What about a nice and flat screenshot of Canyon or Storm or... This would even use less CPU power than the clouds.
Or, since Nadeo reintroduced Bink videos with Beta2, a video of the original replay, like in TmSunrise? I assume this is also much less resource taking than rendering one...
I'm not sure if a Bink video is that much less resource hungry. I know my old pc had quite some trouble on TMU with all the animated signs and avatars. There was always a lot of HDD activities in those situations. I also remember a guy with a 1-frame avatar paralising the whole server.

Does reintroduction of Bink mean a Rolling Demo folder will be back too?

Thanks Omnixor, where would I be without your wisdom?
As far as I know, Rolling Demos were never implemented in MP but were in TMUF. I was just wondering if they would be an option in TM2 some day.
