Now I'm back at my PC, so my log file comes a bit late, but nevertheless:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/6/6/2 ... -16-56.txt
(This is before overwriting the OpenAL32.dll.)
Edit: Hrtf is not ticked and I never had it ticked before either.

The last one (now 323 KB in size; the log says still refresh=86Hz) produced more distortions than the last one that was uploaded. Nearly the same noise than the one that shipped with the Beta 2.1.
I changed the file time of the old version from Beta 2.0 with the touch.exe. This enabled me to launch ManiaPlanet without the need to download the update. And the music is clear and perfect.

Mine not really distorted as such... but goes louder and softer all the time. During start of map it's really dampened

ok I uploaded yet an other one, which really should be like the one from december, but with hrtf working (which doesn't work so great, alas... but is optional and disabled by default.)

No more distortion

First launch of MP after overwriting the dll ended in an empty window frame, but after killing the task with task manager the second try was successful. Sound is back as it should

. Thank you, that was a really fast fix!
