No, you're right. I can live with the problem in Stadium, because of the beta version. It's just that it's very quiet when it comes to reactions from Nadeo on this problem. And although Canyon keeps working fine over here (don't know for sure, but at least no double rankings in our accounts), it seems the problem is growing instead of being solved. If I'd lose the SP's I earned in Stadium so far, so be it. But if the problem concerns Canyon too and there would be a sort of reset there, I have to admit I wouldn't be very happy to say the least. But hey, that's speculating and imho not fair to Nadeo...

Maybe it would be an idea for them to shut down Stadium for a day or two, because there's always somebody online somewhere to spoil the test. The longer they wait, the more people earn SP's and the more people will get disappointed when the ranking system appears not to be functioning...

I misunderstood about the update. My last one is from the 27th of februari, I think and when Storm had it's beta, there were far more updates than with Stadium. I guess we're spoiled by that...

I recall reading something about this problem in Canyon too, but can't find it anymore.

It's kinda brave, I think, throwing in two betas at the same time. Especially the Stadium part, because of the large community behind it. The new version has to be at least equal to it's predecessor and on the same time pretty close to it's sibling to satisfy both communities. And when it's not, what seems to be the case here, you can expect loads of reactions, which you NEED to handle within an acceptable amount of time before people are starting to walk away.

When updates are starting to have side effects on already stable parts like Canyon (the yellow turbo in D02 for example) and texture problems (in D02 as well, which I ran in to, when I was trying to reproduce the yellow turbo problem), it's starting to get serious. If more problems starting to occur in Canyon, the more people will lose faith.

I don't mind fooling around in Stadium for a while. The more we test, the better it'll be. But when some of the new players discover Canyon and, when they finally made it to D02, the last thing they see is a bunch of trees because of the fact they get launched like a Saturn rocket, things are going the wrong way. If there are big problems, why don't be honest to the community and bring it out. Be open about some things, because the longer they wait, the more speculations there will be and we all know that most of the time these things will turn out negative. If nine people are getting more and more disappointed, number 10 will reconsider buying the game.

I don't wanne be too negative about it, but if you read through the posts every once in a while, you can sence it. People are losing patience more and more. And with so many people playing, you can't be quiet for so long...

The boost issue is fixed from our end and the fix will be implemented in next update. We are also aware of ranking issues and are looking at them.

From time to time there are major updates, so yes, it is possible.
Minor updates are also much smaller size.

Canyon has ~1GB, Storm has ~900MB, Stadium has ~500MB at the moment.
Custom titles not included. Raid has ~1GB, but it contains nearly a dozen of texture mods.

Two things might also cause large updates:
- installation of Minimal setup, then ManiaPlanet will download the titles itself automatically.
- corruption of your local files (perhaps even timestamp variation might cause an update)

After having done a backup, you can delete your local profile and let ManiaPlanet update it again, then you will see.
However with Alinoa recent response, I think we just have to wait until the situation is cleared again

OK I have some good news. I seem to have fixed this problem, at least for the moment. When I reinstalled the game before to try to fix this I was just using the Stadium beta installation file. But this time I tried installing Canyon first and then downloading Stadium in the update and that somehow fixed the problem. So it looks like it may be a problem with installing from the Stadium beta installation file and not with the servers.
