Or will it work if I use the downloadable exe for TM2S and the Steam version of Canyon?
You're totally false. If you download the exe, you're downloading ALL ManiaPlanet. After, the purchased games appear in the menu. It's only in this case that you can do what I've said.
Attention what you say
There are two kind of different setups:
- Minimal, which downloads only ManiaPlanet base system (UI and engine). If you have purchased and assigned keys of each game to your account, ManiaPlanet will download the missing parts as updates.
- A full setup for each separate game (ManiaPlanet with Canyon, or ManiaPlanet with Stadium, or ManiaPlanet with Storm).
There is no "overall setup" which contains everyhting at once ;)
Ok, so which one of those purchase methods allows me to play Stadium with Canyon cars and physics? :)

None at all. ;)
please let me repeat if it is still unclear: the skin itself has no physics, the game engine has it, and this only one for each title.
Any vehicle skin used in Stadium  Stadium physics
Any vehicle skin used in Canyon  Canyon Physics

Buy both Stadium and Canyon standalone (through http://nl-maniaplanet.gamesplanet.com/e ... -3694.html , change the country in the url) and you're able to load a Canyon map in the Stadium title so you can drive with the Stadium car on the Canyon map. Make sure you use a single maniaplanet installation (unlike Steam, Steam has one seperate Maniaplanet installation for Canyon and Stadium).
Keep in mind this isn't officially supported, but it works.

You first need to go in the 2 title before being able to do such a thing

 If you want to play with stadium physic in the canyon environment,
- 1st go in Canyon title
- 2nd go in Stadium title
- 3rd go in editor or local play (not sure tough for local play) and choose a Canyon map
- 4th Have fun ;)

Got it to work, thanks!

I wish I bought them like this in the first place, rather than on Steam.
Now I can just switch fast between the games, instead of having to restart Maniaplanet each time.

What would be nice is if you could choose the enviro physics from a list before creating an enviro then save it with the map as someone did with an env-mix in TMUF. I remember making Desert maps with Coast physics that were kind of cool. (Along with many other mixes) and they worked fine Stand Alone.

Ah, this is the exactly why at first the "foreign" tracks / maps are unknown. This I already experienced.
After loading a first title, the current session keeps its properties in the memory also after loading a new title.

Interesting idea: chose Mod, Mood, Physic, Music
(I know, music can be chosen inside later, but it rimes here so nicely  )

My favourite 'bug' is the one that let you put shootmania dudes into trackmania replays. I had a full pit crew and stuff in one replay, was gonna make a video! :D
But they've 'fixed' this now, so I can't...

I did catch this vid though.
Edit: I found a way to do the thing for real, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9n3yNNPyLw :)

This works with Valley too. Just drove the Canyon Car in a Valley track. Kind of weird. Problem is, does that mean we can't drive a mix of tracks from multiple environment?
