Im going to bed you guys, but ill say it once more to all people who stil dont get it.

This game has NO players. It needs something to get exposure like the PS4 demo AND like ESWC.
I dont care if ESWC is in North Korea or in France... The #1 universal language for gamers is ENGLISH.

The entire communinty , not just french players, play SM the entire year to play for ESWC. If they didnt qualify and they didnt get the chance to be there themselves then they wanna witness it in other ways = STREAMS.

All streams are in french which sucks so hard. U limit the exposure to france. Even most of the french people speak english. But not the other way around. If you arent french, u dont speak french. Unless ur from Belgium.
Is this something weird im telling you or what...?

Also , only 4teams @ESWC are french. What about fans of the other 12teams that are watching? I bet all my planets they prefere english over french anytime.

I dont expect NADEO or ESWC to cover everything in 249 languages... But when a game is dying and in need of extra attention then my MAIN CONCERN would have been to make sure that people get to SEE & HEAR ( in english ) what Shootmania is all about.

NADEO is an awesome company. Shootmania is an awesome game, but its all these tiny stupid mistakes & fails that fucked this game from the beginning.

The community is whining soooo long on this forum about that they need extra exposure/marketing. I rly thought ESWC would help. But in stead I got a french croissant stream I rly dont care about.

Tell me who watches smth if they cant understand it? Nobody.
Somebody ( ESWC in the first place ) should have done smth to make sure an english stream was available.
If ESWC did nothing about this , then NADEO at least should do smth.

And pls dont comment " yeah but somebody should have volunteered". Dont give us, the players, the fault, because it clearly isnt.

Now gimme an english stream so I can end this rant.

Every server I join is full of french players. If the game would be marketed the same in other countries as well then 10000s of players would be playing this game.
Im no Sherlock. I dont have a crystal bol, but im pretty sure im right.
The neverending waiting game has to stop.

Of course we would be happy that the ESWC would cast in english. I would be even more happy if all matches would be casted.

I understand the frustration of not having an english stream to follow the competition, and I appreciate when you say that we are an awesome company novationx. But I just want to take the blame for both of it. I think both come from negative players & positive players. Players who complain all days are lowering the passion of others and the ability to see an strong international community establish itself, while our history is based on constructive players that are making what other players are finding awesome. It takes us time to enable this, but it's still players creativity, intelligence and building spirit that makes the place awesome.

I think that two international competition per year, with interesting national qualifiers (championships for seeding and good play-off), with good playing & streaming conditions would be the best. But at the moment, I am more working on making the game better and better, and having more and more players coming into the game. Once it's done, we will see what to do to define and see what can be made.

Shootmania is bigger in France than in the rest in the world. It can be seen as a bad news, and you are right novationx that there would be a lot of players if it would have been the same all around the world (and there would be then even more players in France from the popularity positive effect) But you can also see it as a good news. If we put our effort in all the world, maybe too less would have been achieved, and that even France would not be there. For me, thanks to France, and that's the history of Trackmania, we have enough to make the game growth and reach the international.

So, we can still improve a lot, and still have a lot of players to discover the game. How will they? I am going to talk a little more about that in the days to come, even if many things will also be done in months to come that I can not yet say at the moment. Shootmania is the creative FPS with the quality of having a powerful Elite competitive mode to know wouzdabest. The creative FPS have to win versus the others, it's open, it's for players with the power of player. When this power will be bigger and more positive, Shootmania can only become an international success. CoD is somehow 20 years old (10 years of the game built on 10 years of FPS technology) but even with our 6 months, I am already really happy of what I see when I look at french streams :p (ok, bad joke ^_^) And I know what we are coming with, the field is much more open than on the more closed formats.

I just can thank the players with so much desire to see Shootmania succeed and enjoy to see the competitions and I think they should be as much positive as possible toward the dedicated team of Nadeo, but mainly for the other players that are trying their best as well. The people that are working for the Maniaplanet competitions at ESWC are passionates, constructive, hardworker and players should always remember this when starting a post!

I have seen many advices or request from you in the last three months. I think that patience is required since I think you far from the ones that are saying the game is bad but are still here after more than a year.

I am going to ready myself to go on site and will come back for more discussions, in english, in the days to come!

Go go go the french, go win the ESWC :P
