Just want to put my short words here: As long as players have to actively search for user content and have a limited amount of possible creations, most of the custom title packs will keep being dead
My honest opinion: I'm not even looking forward to the title store
What I would like to see: Download of the custom content on server join and no filtering.
P.s. Limited amount? Yes because every single title uses a station and you don't have an endless number of them.

I completely agree.
The titlepack listings seems like an idea I'd never see catch on, especially since new titlepacks can't get alive through it anyway.
I'm still all up for a mod-based system (not texture mods, 'titlepack'-value mods), want to join a server? -> it tells you you need mods [x, y, z] if you don't have all of them -> download them with a click (if they're registered within a central system) -> boom they're installed, you can join servers using that mod.
Or download mods from the central listing to extend your single player experience, no need for a whole titlepack imo.
Titlepacks itself seems like a flawed concept anyway, I don't think it works with many players as well.
Titlepacks got a few nice customisation features (custom menu, station, ladder etc.), which in my opinion don't have as much value as a simple, easy to use mod system.
Several cool improvements are listed though, such as object improvements which will severely benefit the rpg titlepack (it's like the only titlepack worth being a full titlepack), the action maker (lets just hope it doesn't require a titlepack to use them in modes) and the scripting improvements sound neat too.

German Translation is up
here
yes, I abused my superpowers to make it seem like the post is from Hylis over there
Let's just hope the ManiaScript improvements finally hit TM2, would make stat-tracking via ManiaScript A LOT easier

I agree with TGYoshi here.
Please, remove the titlepack system!! I don't really think that there are people who support the titlepack system as it is today. You should be able to start your preferred gamemode/titlepack/objects/mod/actions from the main-game menus; like if you are about to join a server, you need "XYZ Objects pack" or when going to the editor right before the map editor shows up you are asked to "choose preferred titlepack" and "choose preferred mode", so you can basically build more freely; remaining should be the "All" and "Default" mapping mode, where you can decide whether you want to build with all objects and stuff avaiable on your disk or only with the default thingys (what is the current main-game map editor).
Blah blah, only my idea, but in tl;dr: The titlepack system is too complicated for many and leads to abandoning games/gamemodes, like Combo and Royal for example.

agree that titlepack system as it is right now isn't working the way it should, and the method to make custom gamemodes should be remade from ground up.

Guys I didn't want to start a discussion
Omnixor wrote:the method to make custom gamemodes should be remade from ground up.
imho scripting is perfect, just the limitations need to be opened
if you change that to something like a drag-n-drop editor (like map editor) you will find yourself with incredibly more limited possibilities and modes that pretty much are all the same
oh god, now i'm discussing myself, i'm sorry

I meant titlepacks, sorry ^^ like, they don't really need to be in a station and have their own main menu.
