The tumbleweeds in the canyon will not hit the cars :|
Maybe they should put a flowing river like in the Grand Canyon. It could push the cars when they try to go against the current :D
Why would it go through the cars? They're not -complete- ghosts...they just pass through other cars. Buildings, walls, anything else, that's still solid as far as the game mechanics are concerned...why wouldn't they just make the debris solid?

That would be ANNOYING!!!
Think about it: you are about to win, then suddenly, a huge boulder hits you dead in the side
Would you be pissed off if that was a tournament, and that was your last chance to win the top prize??

What would be if you can change this in the Graphic Configurations?
Or those "Objects" would (only) be available in the mediatracker (like FX-colors) for making realistic movies.

I still think its a great idea! And as long as you can turn it on and off, it will not be anoying.

See, that's why I'm thinking this is gonna be along the lines of small objects, rather than something that could actually affect your race performance...cuz that dynamic day-night cycle was taken out...

It would be bad, if these things go through your car (reacts like a ghost)

So it should hit the car and have an reallistic effekt, BUT the car should not get slower or somehting else. The car should ignore them. So you can drive against them and for example the tumbleweed will react reallistic, but the car just ignores the tumbleweed. A real car would also not get slower because of a tumbleweed :D

I hope you know what I mean.

That's Newton's Law right there...third one, I think. (It's been a while since physics. :P) It would be the rules of inertia.

<_< To add realism. Why make the cars shiny, if they're all ghosts anyhow? It looks more realistic, and then therefore, more FRAKING AWESOME, when a car flies off a halfpipe. For example, I was showing a buddy of mine the Youtube trailer for TM2 without letting him know anything about what it was. So he was like, (buddy's reaction) "What's this, the new NFS? It looks pretty realistic.... :o HOLY SHIT THAT CAR JUST FLEW INTO THE AIR THAT'S AWESOME" And it looks cool for a car to blow through a sheet of dust, or maybe paper, in mediatracking. Adds more cinematic effect. So realism and epicness are two reasons why they should be added.
