Test more.
It does on/off at some position when you press, you can't go slow pressing just a little, and faster pressing more. That is what we are calling not analog (anyway we have nothing against that).
And also you can't both accelerate and brake at same time : if you press both you brake only, no more accelerate, and if you release the brake, then you don't accelerate any more, you have to release and press again. It would need 2 separate axises permit same thing as with buttons/keys.

You're the only person ever to claim to make it work, so I perhaps think that your definition of it working is wrong.

you don't have to put the brake on the same axis and not have to use the axis to accelerate. analog buttons work just fine. my car accelerates really slow or really fast depending on how i press the button. i didn't try it on the axis but instead on the trigers of the xbox 360 and hase some different results depending on how i press the button. i will try a video for the non believers :P

Analog controls work, but only with digital response...

I recall game controller support being much better in TMN... is it just me..?

Please post a vid where you drive like 100 km/h constantly or something.
I'm not calling you a liar, but i've been trying to achieve that for years now without success.

wrong, none of the existing TM games allow to set separate axis for accelarator and brake.
And that is exactly what i ask for, nothing more.

Then you are the only one in the world who succeed to do that.......
As Knutselmaaster said, go on a long straight line and try to press a little, at a constant posotion, to stay at a constant slow speed.

I have tested all the plug and play contorllers that I can find and have found that the Logitech Rumblepad 2 and the Logitech G25/G27 wheels seemed to work the best. The Rumblepad's resloution couldn't compare to the wheel but was great in the stadium environment. No-slide in isaland with the pad was lacking for me because I slid out too easily. I know some people swear by pad in Island but while i improved after a while the wheel was the tool for me.

True but the device drivers for the Logitech and Saitek and Thrustmaster allow the axises to be split out and the launcher will freeze the unused axises.
So in effect the game doesn't need to allow for multi-axis control. It already interfaces OK.

I would just like to know splitting the axis at the driver level can help you when the game allows a single axis for accelerate and brake.
Actually the game, when using an analog axis to accelerate/brake, does not allow to do both at the same time, so stop to accelerate when you brake. You can't do both, and so do air control and start drift, with analog axis like it can be done using buttons.
