Nice post, I allways start laughing when I see someone who says "Hey, where I could apply for the (closed) beta?" or "I want to buy a beta key for XY euro"

It's named CLOSED beta, because it's only for selected people. If you're not sellected don't worry, thats life.

For closed beta, there usually is an application process. Most companies look to see if the person has beta testing experience, or if they are loyal customers of the company, or maybe they were one of the top influential players of a preveious game like TM1. Thats why I never understood this beta. Keys were given out to contest winners in europe somewhere(impossible for people like me).
