We have the most powerfull and well connected internet community system on this planet! No, I don't think, it will be a box, it will work with online updates

Well okay I didn't mean it literally. A full product with its own title, is that better?
And how would you pay for such online updates anyway? We don't know of a system for that by Nadeo currently. I guess it will be for money since that's what's the cool thing these days, and because it'd be hard to get away with "here's a full price game, most of the content will actually come later sorry".

I really love this as a concept, and with ubisoft behind the project, Nadeo now have the reach to crack the large markets.
I presume it means that most of the distribution of user-created content will be handled by the the Mania stystem, reducing the need for sites like TMX, Carpark etc, and whist I think that the people and players running these sites have contributed a huge amount to the community, perhaps a unified approach is best. The only thing I would stress is the need to find a system that allows the high-quality user-creations to get to the top of the pile, and the low-quality stuff to disappear quickly. This in itself is a huge challenge, considering how many people will probably be using the software.
I also hope that pricing is sensible, and assuming that paid DLC is distributed online, that the whole world will pay the same price.

Yeah that's nice for the US and western Europe, but normally games are cheaper in the poorer countries because otherwise no one would buy them. I think €50 games here are usually around €15 in Poland, or at least that's what I heard 5 years ago.

yep Zooz, that's why a lot germans travel outside to buy games (ofc only if they are there anyway or living near the borders)

ohh, wow! It really sounds amazing!!

The Idea is just genius.
Adding one more environment every 3 months, is also really the way I like it.
Only the DLC-thing I don't like that much. I like it way more to have a boxed-game. But I think there will be a good solution, even when it's DLC....

Don't get too excited about environment every 3 months. It's probably up to a limit, they can't make a new one every 3 months forever.
I think there will be three environments in the end, at least for TM2. I still remember Nadeo's stance against more environments

The business around maniaplanet should be simple. We expect to sell each 'Title' (one environment for a game, like TM² Canyon for example) separately at a reasonable price. All the titles could be use independently but they combine themselves into a single place: maniaplanet.
In fact, it is likely that users will buy planets (the new name of coppers in maniaplanet) With it, they would be able to acquire the different titles. This part is being worked out but it is quite close to what we did with coppers capable of buying TM United.
And to answer haenry, DLC for me is when a content is necessary to fill a space that exist virtually in the game. By making separate environments, I feel it is less like DLC, but more like separated content or standalone add-ons if you prefer. In fact is also content, but not here to complete an already existing one, but to add to it.
Zooz, our minimal plan is for nine environments and current ambition is for fifteen. We will adapt to the situation anyway. There could be more or there could be less.

That's great to hear! Pretty radical change though, did I convince you or was it planned for TM2 and you were just talking for TMF?

9 environments is great, 15 is just fantastic.
