I'm not talking about these "classics" events. I'm talking about a special event which discover every week, a new gamemode to others players.

A showcase event where all peoples can try a new gamemode each week :

Friday 10th : 9:00 PM : HungerGames
Friday 18th : 9:00 PM : Raid Valley
Friday ..... Loadouts, SpeedBall, BA F1, Infection, CTF, Hide And Seek, Nascar, RPG, Stunts....

TheBigMiike wrote:Instead of creating this kind of topics that don't change nothing and are created every months, maybe we should create weekly events (as Soprah suggested in an other topic) and each week = a new gamemode is presented.

I really believe on these kinds of events that could unite peoples around a gamemode. Imagine a server like the fB weekly race with lots of players :D
I think you seriously missed the point of the topic. I already said that events, new environments etc don't help at all - they just make things worse basically when same group players split in many events. We need new players who don't know anything about TM right now. Weekly Races are great for players to explore the competitive Trackmania, which after all is the main point of stadium at least, but they are useless when talking about getting new players to play the series. That needs advertising. That needs a TV ad on Cartoon Network. That needs a gaming site having topics about TM. That needs young people who want to play the game, and one successful streamer or player can't make that happen alone. Kids play CSGO, kids play LoL, kids play even some damn dancing games, but nowadays they don't play TM. That is the problem behind everything else, the lack of fresh blood. Nadeo and Ubisoft should get that, and maybe some of you have missed the real reason behind everything as well. Tbh, they should have got that two years ago already...

Some of you talked about titlepacks here as well, but they are the worst thing in this case, splitting the server behind numerous titles, which surely doesn't help at all understanding the game and looks complex to new players.

Anyway, I believe that it's possible to make the game grow again, with some right decisions, and I fully believe that Nadeo/Ubisoft has a team that can do it - if they just have the will to do so... at the moment it's clear that at least Ubisoft doesn't care.

Another concerned thread created in the wake of, what seems to be, the ending era of stadium. If this game is to start igniting again, Nadeo are the ones who needs to change what they are currently doing. And wth are they doing you might ask? The community have done so much for stadium from the very beginning, and the reward we get?

- "Here you go, a new fps and a possible new rpg game. Now let's close down the free to play success and put a price tag on the new *remaked* one and let the community do the magic, while we move all our efforts over to a new game, which seems to be rolling the floor nowadays!"
meuh21 wrote: So you shouldn't ask to Nadeo to make the game popular but you should ask to the community (or the part of the community who want more players) to be more active to promote the game.
I see you are under the influence of "sharing" is caring. This is exactly what Nadeo's "successful" strategy seems to be. Create a tool that the community can bring forth and pretty much rely 100% on that. With the marketing knowledge and execution that Nadeo have done with stadium, I don't really know what to think. Embarrassing is an appropriate word to describe that department. Volunteer work is certainly a nice thing, but there is a limit to how much a community should do, and what a developer team definitely should do. This is the part where Nadeo have overextended and we can now see the backfire. Here in USA, there are no players playing this game whatsoever. Asia, one of the biggest growing gaming areas in the world, not a single person knows about this game.

Each day that goes by, more and more people will start to realize that as long as Stadium is in the hands of Nadeo, or rather Hylis, the future looks very dark. Unless of course they wake up and realize their huge mistake in not prioritizing a free to play stadium game with new refreshing ideas. I personally have quite a lot of obvious and maybe less obvious ideas to improve stadium, but most of them are already mentioned here on this forum, but to no response from Nadeo. It's almost as if they want to see this game slowly die.

Yes I agree with Wormii, and I want to sum up the discussion with this:

"If we have enough internal tools and promotions, we need outside advertising to get new players.
To return to the topic, I think with the demo Nadeo give the community the tool to make the game popular. But it's a "word of mouth" strategy. So you shouldn't ask to Nadeo to make the game popular but you should ask to the community (or the part of the community who want more players) to be more active to promote the game.
That is the main point, we cant count on Nadeo for this and the community has to do something.
Now what I want to say is : enough talks, its time to act.

1) We have to make undesrtand the current community that the lack of players on tm2 is killing the game (as some explained very well). Most of the people are kind of "egoist" and play on their own. But if we do nothing they will have nothing in the future.

2) Gather the most influent persons and most willing persons to promote this game that we love (despite everythings you could mention :D )

3) Organise our outside advertising.we need battleplan. Every person should know what he has to promote, where. Internet is a powerful tool, and nadeo give us too a powerful demo to share, widely.

4) Evaluate our progress with the maniaplanet numbers of players tool.

Sensitize-Gather-Promote-Evaluate ---> SGPE Code. :!:
Let's start with 1), and this topic is part of this.

 Best post in this topic ;)

Tools we got to promote the game:

Direct links for demos (main titles or custom titles)
Many nice videos in Youtube
Beautiful Screens

I don't really know how works social networks but if you link to your friends a news per week (month ?) it could be efficient. What shoul be the news ? A video or a screen and a link with the main information : right now you can play for free !

Fade3 you are right.
I'm also disappointed by choices did nadeo and their advertising strategy.

Now people just need to ask themselves one question : in my opinion, does it worth to keep fighting for tm?
Certain people like me will answer yes, and do this volunteering work.

Yes "sharing is caring" is in da place.
I live in Asia and I allready know some guys willing to help there.
We just need to gather ( 2 ) then define precisely how to efficiently share.
Meuh gave already some tools, there is a lot a lot a lot to use, by different means (social network, video game forum, famous streamer playing tm, etc etc.
This is my point 3), don't go too fast, recruit volunteers then organise.

Does a beautiful video make a random guy interested about the game? Probably. Will he randomly watch videos about Trackmania? Nope. It needs to be "forced". Someone like PewDiePie making a couple of videos with a positive feeling. TV-advert that someone sees. Dozens of my friends know I play Trackmania, but they don't care playing it itself, so we need new people. A good start would be Ubisoft recognizing it is their game still as well. We as little players don't have the power to share the game enough. TM is ran by community, but we can't make it bigger - if we could, it would have been done already I think.
