The project is still being worked on and we're making good progress.
Just about a week or so ago I decided that trying to remodel the old code base was just not worth it.
So me and my new partner in crime, reaby, have decided to rewrite it from scratch with the Laravel framework.

I have many things planned for this new iteration of AdminServ - I like to call it #AdminServ Neo, has a nice ring to it - so that's why we're actually building the thing from the ground up.
I already showed a few tidbits to some of the MP4 beta members, but I figured I might as well share it here:


What you see above is a preview of the Role management. Server admins that end up hosting their own version of #AdminServ Neo will be able to define their own roles with custom permissions on a server-by-server basis, which they then can assign to specific Maniaplanet logins. Once those users login for the first time via ManiaConnect (Maniaplanet's OAuth2 system), they'll immediately see a list of servers that they have access to configure. In the server configuration screen, they then will only have access to those parts they actually have permissions for.

No more having to share SuperAdmin passwords just so they can access AdminServ, hooray!

I'll tease more things once we're ready to show them, but I'm super stoked about the future of AdminServ and I hope you guys are too!

Wow looks promising, as a user of this tool since many years I look forward to have a full compatible version of adminserv on mp4, notably with scripted modes etc.. This preview really looks good. New login feature via maniaconnect seems just perfect, for security and practicity!

But I can say that you mustn't fear for MP4, AdminServ 2.1.1-1 is completely compatible with it.

With newest MP4 Server i can not change any of the Server Options (e.g. Password or Description), besides the Map funktions are working properly.

Cannot confirm on my end. You'll have to wait until AdminServ 3 releases in the near future, won't fix 2.1.1 anymore, sorry.

The closed beta will start as soon as we're confident, that there are hardly any bugs remaining and that #AdminServ v3.0 has at least all important features of #AdminServ v2.1.1.
