Having something to show your work (here: screenshots) is absolutely necessary in nearly every occupation where you do creative things. Obviously, this isn't an occupation. But if you want to be seen as a professional (which is essential if you would like to achieve success), then I would highly recommend to create at least some screenshots. Other people create entire websites to portray their work (called portfolio) or create demo-reels videos. Addtionally, some guys need to be convinced before they download anything similar to some guys read reviews of games before they buy them. And creating a few screenshots does not consume lots of time. It requires a couple of easy steps to take astonishing screenshots of your scene, since we've got a very good render engine inside of the Mediatracker.
