Cerovan or whatever your name is. I see in one post that you wrote that you's don't like to rush games out you like them as good as possible on release. Umm tm2 stadium rushed full of bugs waiting to get fixed a couple of years later. valley rushed has bugs. Shootmania don't know if this was rushed but buggy. Canyon buggy.... What you said is very contradictory and not even true going by the above, or is this nadeos new philosophy haha.

When Nadeo posts new information about TrackMania Turbo without single word about ManiaPlanet.
Seriously, it makes me (and 90% of the community) feel like I'm 80 years old and dying slowly.
Don't wanna go negative, but you mention you have "strong community that is the heart of this game". Then
care about this community and don't try to motivate it by releasing another game. Make the environment we live up-to-date and worth to effort time. Do an universal place teaching newbies how to play and advanced users how to master. Don't try to make profits by starting over.
Community won't do everything for the creators, if creators won't do everything for the community.
I work like that. You should try it too.

How can you tell it's rushed?

With you saying that I highly doubt you ever played Canyon or Valley. Both environments are almost bug-free, so your statement is absolutely unjustified and shows you are just running out of arguments. Sure Valley lacks blocks (perhaps Canyon as well), but that's a completely different story and not related to any bugs.

quite some sad news to be postponed. Was really hyped about it. Hopefully the playtests go well in the near future.
Keep us posted in the upcoming weeks.

So you're telling me that bug reports for valley and canyon in the bugs forum aren't bugs?

It's ignored because most of the things you describe in your thread are wrong.
If things I described are wrong, then what is the truth?
What have you done to make TM community grow again, and how many of these actions were successful? That is a simple question, not describing or judging anything, so nothing to be ignored.
As you can see, its not only me that sees TM community dying. I see what your avatar means - you're just living in another world!
BTW. Since when you ignore someone if you think they're wrong?

I thought that's the point of discussing - trying to prove each other wrong. Come on, Cerovan, you can do better.

Domino, the post is about Trackmania Turbo and is the communication for Trackmania Turbo to video game sites in general. In the forum here, having Maniaplanet topic discussed at the same time is better since it's the Maniaplanet forum, you are right. But I have little information to give right now and I doubt we will be able to do much before the launch period of TMT.
I can say that the work on the game will partly help for Maniaplanet. One of the various area is the job link to console need to consolidate and optimize. For example, an engineer did a good job this week to reduce the memory footprint of servers as other optimized the CPU usage of scripts. In addition, there are people working exclusively on Maniaplanet/Shootmania/Trackmania² to prepare the now quite bigger team of the studio to fully switch to Maniaplanet. It's a very engaging moment, while intense, since we are finishing a high quality game and are readying the next big step that is Maniaplanet 4.
The 2015 year of TM became the 2015 from Nadeo to work on TM and it was not expected. We added more and more things on TMT and it became bigger than formely decided. It should bring even more people to discover Trackmania, kidmaciek, and provide more community power as well. Maybe they will find that things are going more quickly, since they will start their Trackmania adventure in the year Maniaplanet 4 without having to wait the years before like some did here. And thanks Domino for still being around since!

Everything in MP can always be updated or changed, TMT is more of a finished product, I suppose mainly due it being made for the consoles as a standalone release with the PC version a cool extra...
2016 isn't so far away, let Nadeo do their work and judge later
(if you must judge)
I still hope for some unified cross-platform multiplayer in TMT, but maybe that's one hope too far
Anyways, good luck with the project!

I mostly understand in what Nadeo is aiming now, but Turbo is still the future (not so far away, tbh) while ManiaPlanet remains untouched for months. Some users (Dreammy) suggest bigger communication between Nadeo and the community about updates, events and other stuff. At the moment only ManiaPlanet News maniaflash (administrated by Alinoa?) is the way you support us, but in fact everyone can get these infos right from the forum. I personally just believe there will be something more than blog about Turbo development status, like Nando-hosted contests (remember valentines day 2013?) or any other activity (Elite Maps of the Week - I really miss it).
And thanks Domino for still being around since!
