The only one problem for our ManiaPlanet community is that we don't get any news about ManiaPlanet itself.

@Edit:
ShootMania either.

Why would we need news for old planet when we have turbo planet now.

Probably because Turbo is a step foward in technology, but step backwards in community and customization aspects. We will be only able to share maps. No dedicated servers, no custom skins (except stickers, paints), probably no MediaTracker, no ManiaScript, no custom items. Turbo looks great, but it's terrible to call it ManiaPlanet successor due its lack of customization tools.

And I didn't even mentoin Nadeo simply ignores their another game called ShootMania for over a year now.

Is it a problem that TMT doesnt have all that u mentioned?
I mean... Who in the community actually uses all of that? I mean... you're awesome :thx: and you're rly good at it, but 98%(?) of all Maniaplanetarians just play the game and dont care about maniascript and what not :oops:

I for one prefere having a game with a handful of active good modes with a constant stream of new maps to keep things fresh. That just sounds awesome to me.

And if it would become competitive then that would be even more awesome.
And if you could tune your car like in NFS ( visually ) then that would just be insanely badass.

I prefere all of that over Maniascript & co tbh.

novationx is a good example of casual player who don't need to create and think, what he wanna do. And ye that's definitely 98% of players who has similar intensions to just start the game, play on 2 tracks and turn off.

I don't know about TM but in SM Maniascript enabled to create some amazing, imo, modes like BattlePro, ArenaDuel, InstaDM, etc. Some of them are played very rarely but so some official modes too. Tools to create modes are very important in general but not for those who interested only in modes which happen to be official.

I have to agree with domino54.

And more than 2% of players uses the tools domino mentionned. You just see your side but there isn't only casual players on TrackMania. I don't think TMUF would have 13 000 000 of registered players if the game would have been made only for players and not creators too. (Yep, TMN was free so it helped too ^^')

Remember video makers / MediaTracker users, 3D Models makers, map creators, .... All those creators participated to make TrackMania a better game.

I thought TMT would have been a great solution to the lack of players but now I realize that It divide again the players like this :
TMT = players and competitors
ManiaPlanet = sandbox for creators

My conclusion :
I think Nadeo and Ubisoft should reconsider their choice and continue updates after the release of TMT. Then they could add some features to TMT (Why not ManiaScript in the future extension of TMT for gamemode creators ?)
