Great one! I'm busy with implementing a system that regularly checks if the mirrors are still being updated and to check the status etc. This one is really great to implement with it.

to easy :roflol:

they do not cache everything so you still need a server that can handle some traffic.

In my opinion it's better to have something in community hands, and own hands after all. And it's really nice to make :) . Also this will allow to have multiple distributors (for content) and have a strict authorization structure, etc.

About donations: So far it has costs us around 15 euros to set this up. (And much time off coarse). If anybody wants to donate for the setup costs, you can PM me, (paypal / EU IBAN).

We are also in need of mirrors for the network :D. You can reply or PM to me or askuri. Please give information about server location, speed, traffic limit and if you support ipv6.

Status on time of posting: early testing of the monitoring and DNS updating system.

do you want to work with some geo based dns?
because people from brazil will probably have bad speeds to servers that are located in europe. So getting some mirrors for asia and south-america would be nice.

Good idea TheBigG :)
One more point against cloudflare: it would be more expansive. If everybody contributes to our networks, it would the domain only, we pay.
In fact, this combines cost-saving and a fast network :)

@Toffes post: that is what he pays per year. Just for clearifying it .. :D
