Their prioritization seems to be off.
That is really nice post by Eyebo

With nice prioritization. I hope they check that out.
I really don't know how they decide what comes first but I gotta say that it seems like they are not listening to us.
For example, the
Favorite servers feature, which would surely be high priority if you ask community, hasn't been implemented since MP4 came out and that feature
cannoooooooot be that hard to implement/bring back, yet we haven't seen that feature back and it's been almost 4 months since the release.
We could theoretically make some kind of prioritization for the bugs/features by voting. Maybe use the community on the Discord since there seems to be the biggest number of players in one place and then make just one forum post with every bug and feature and sort them by prioritization/how many votes it got. IDK it's just a thought.
I don't know if that would help but I gotta say Maniaplanet doesn't look good at this moment.

They have a prioritization, but they don't tell to us what they do.
And that they don't listen is simply wrong, in general.
There are lots of topics with error reports which got answers or got fixed.
Please don't forget it is currently summer vacation time in France.
In 2 weeks or a little bit later the whole team should be back, working with full strengh.

For me the framerate is better in game, but loading times in menu slower
Nadeo could consider soft update so you can switch versions ingame after release.
After they see old version go small they can close it.
Nobody should leave then or cause other harm since you can play like usual (until problems are solved)
You should see in mania 4.0 server list all the mania 5.0 servers, introducing all to switch version.
If you have problems you can come back to previous version and play fine

You forget to think that we're also working on the next Maniaplanet version (and so you don't know what's the amount of work to do) and people can't work on everything at the same time (and we aren't going to ask the people here to work 18h/day

).

Except there can be massive code changes between two Maniaplanet versions even if it's not visible ingame

[...] SM was out 5 years ago, MP was out either same or even more. Still MM was added a year or two(?) later. It had bugs with suspentions that weren't fixed for years (are they even fixed now?). Not single servers browser for long too, so people had no way to find out modes in titlepacks except Storm. UI style look and consistency are horrendous during all this time. 3 years of silence for SM. MP4 is out, introduces not only bugs but straight up removes features which are in high demand. Zero official servers so we end up missing important modes for months until
community, not Nadeo, solves this. Yet you personally and probably all the rest are conditioned to think it's OK to move on to something new instead of fixing the giant
mess you had all these years. This is a huge management failure, whoever this is, Ubi or Hylis.

That is understandable. We know that you are not machines. All I'm saying is that from the
players perspective your prioritization does not look right.
You are already working on mp5 and mp4 still looks like it's in beta. Don't get me wrong I'm not a developer but that too Me, again seems like bad prioritization.

They do, but not good enough. If they did, there wouldn't be a need for threads like this one.

They have a prioritization, but they don't tell to us what they do.
I feel like they need to be more transparent then.
I think that UserVoice platform or something similar would be a better way of receiving feedback than the forum. It could also keep things more transparent since on such platform they can mark the bugs/features on which they are currently working, which ones are being ignored and which ones are being considered. There are some great inputs and reports from the users/players on the forum but I feel that if just
one user reports a bug which
for example is the high priority(everyone in the game chat and Discord and all around is complaining about this particular bug) but only
one user went on the forum and reported that bug. That bug wouldn't seem like a high priority to developers even though it's making most of the players rage.
That is just how I feel. Platform like UserVoice would also make everything easier and more organized, rather than fishing for user reports on 10 different threads. Not to mention the simplicity of use...users are lazy, they would more likely upvote the report rather than registering on the forum and write the post.
At the end, it doesn't have to be UserVoice platform. I've seen developers using forums but with upvote function on the post. Make a thread like "Bug reports for version x.xxx", "Feature wishes for version x.xxx" by having some kind of upvote function developers can get an idea as to what is of higher priority to the players. Community is the heart of this game, their opinion is important. Additional feedback from developers would be also highly appreciated...even like a monthly report/insight...what are they working on and what is going to be delayed and for what reason. Give a players peace of mind.

That is understandable. We know that you are not machines. All I'm saying is that from the

I understand there is a perception issue about what we are doing and the older contributors in this forums know why we're reluctant to talk about what we're working until it's close from completion (because we had to postpone/cancel features sometimes in the early days and got "a lot of" heat because of that (well, enough to be cautious now i should say)). About the bugs fixing it's also something else yet there is also a lot of question each "Is it easy to duplicate?" "How much time it take to fix it?" "What is the severity of the bug?" "Should i fix the bug or rethink how i must do what is supposed to do?" "Is it worth to fix it while the feature will change in the next major patch?" "How many players it may affect?" "Did the dev has something more important to do?" (and that's a part of the questions i'm asking myself when i see the bug reports of the things i have in charge, i don't know for the others).
And i'll stop answering about this since it's not the subject of this thread :p

The biggest problem I have with MP4 is that MP3 server owners stopped hosting altogether (Canyon example would be Fun Racers CSB 90k, which had a small community that has now completely disappeared), which caused a dramatic decrease of players. (Dying Canyon teams, etc..)
That also is not necessarily Nadeo's fault (unless you take into account that server owners didn't have to update their servers for nearly 2 years, so it becomes comfortable to just keep them unmaintained

)
Another huge problem is indeed the inconsistencies between interfaces (some parts are old UI, some parts are new UI, some servers run old gamemode scripts for some reason, etc.)
A lot (not all) of these "community contributions" in the OP are just unrealistic complaints though; "bring back X from MP3". At least make it a bit constructive
And lastly @ Nadeo, I get that you don't want to say what unreleased features you're working on, but you could at least say something about these long-standing bugs. Also those questions that Cerovan mentioned is true, but I don't think that warrants months of no comments on a bug after an intensive beta. (At least give us some update on why it's taking longer than expected/hoped!)
Anyway. I'm trying to be as constructive as possible here. <3

I like how topic is in ManiaPlanet subforum, but no one gave a single f**k about ShootMania's issues and situation.
