What I hate in Canyon (and probably in future environments) is price. If TM2 will have 5 environments, TM2 will cost 100 €. And you probably don't care (I can fully understand that

), but 100 € is 416 zł (polish złoty), which IS way too much for just 1 game (which is TM2 with all its environments). I bought retail TMU within one week after its release for 80 zł (20€) in my local shop and I received nice 7 environments, not just one. I would buy TM2, even if it's little too "modern", if it wouldn't cost so much. Seriously, what happened with you, Nadeo? Too much Ubisoft? I guess so. On every single step I can see you try to save MOAR MONEYYY. It's sad. I am disappointed.

No xinput support and horrendous wheel support is the biggest downer. After 5 years between games this is just unacceptable.

Please stop compare with TMU.
You compare with a compile of TM+TMO+TMS+Stadium. You need compare if you are buy all TM's directly after the release and the price is the same. In french forum, we have calculate and each environment of TM1 cost 22€. After, the price is maybe different in others country.
Hylis said the time for make one environment of TM2, it's the same than 10 environments of TM1. Nadeo works since several years on ManiaPlanet and they don't work free. The price is a decision of NADEO, Ubisoft has only permit to make ManiaPlanet. If Ubisoft hadn't purchased Nadeo, Nadeo wouldn't have made ManiaPlanet and Nadeo Live wouldn't exist.

Then I'll never see your logic.
You can buy TMU for 10E-30E, something like that, then you just have all 7 enviroments.
No need to buy TMO/S if I want the environments, so why bother adding it to the price?
I really hope ManiaScript and it's friends come change my vision on the game, as I'm starting to get disappointed. Not about the price, but about the game itself.
The same old (little) bugs are still there. I'm not into reporting them all actually.

I speak for all people who play since 2003. Maybe in 3 years (like TMU), we will have a compilation with all environments for 30€, I don't know.
We must compare like with like, and here it's the first TM and TM² and not TMUF and TM².
I don't understand why nobody rattle on the price of COD for example where one game cost 60€ and not 50€ like others game on PC and after we have 3-4 DLC's which cost 15€ each, we have a complete game for 90-105€. And it's the same each year.
Here we have a complet game for 60€ on 3 years (only TM²) and we will play more in TM² than COD on several years because if you would like play with others people, you need buy the next COD.
If you think Nadeo made money behind your back, it's good but it's not the case. Nadeo doesn't sell millions of these games and you want new TM, the studio must have money to pay its employees, game servers ...

Then you can`t complain if they don`t get fixed :p
I actually have no idea which bugs you mean, I didn`t notice any "old" bugs.
I also don`t see any sense in discussing about the price, TMU is just all old Envis put together and therefore cheap(there was almost nothing new compared to TMS/TMO in the beginning). TM2 is new and got a reasonable price. Nothing to discuss imho.

I don't complain about the price myself.
I don't buy COD and that stuff. I just don't. Reasons include the price. It's still my choice if I want to buy it, and TM is worth 60E with more environments.
Actually I kinda dislike it how less new features there actually are. Promised (or at least told) were custom blocks. .. Not here.
Seems like a lot of code of TM1 is copy-pasted since we have the same micro-bugs.
Today I'll take some time to list them all.
At least I've noticed a HUGE performance improve.
Thanks god they've fixed an issue that shutting the game down took a minute, memory cleaning or so. And 'Reload' buttons took 10 seconds as well.
Now it's ultra-fast again

.
But yea, it more feels like a new envi for TMU and a DB reset then a new game.
Nuuuuuu too less new methods for dedi-server RPC's D=.
Anyway, I'll see how it is at release

.

I don't understand how people can be such staunch fans of Nadeo and NOT want to throw money at them. More $$$ = more games and more support.
Think about that next time you are sipping your 5 euro latte.

I'd like to point out an observation I thought of when you brought this up. When it was announced that Canyon was going to be 25 bucks I was excited. If you look at typical racing games in the retail market today a "NEW" 25 dollar game is a piece of crap, piss poor physics, substandard graphics and rarely can you make new tracks.
Look at the need for speed series, you pay 40 doilars or more and you don't have much variation from the previous game, and basically most of the tracks have invisible walls and you certainly aren't going to build new levels with the ease (if you can at all) at which Nadeo has blessed us with in this game.
What I have seen from past environments in trackmania is that with each environment, there is a whole new way to drive the cars. So you aren't getting a minor graphical / gameplay variation of the previous games with that once you beat the game it goes on the shelf.
Just my thoughts, I for one don't care what all the environments "add" up too, most racing games do not offer you all those variations in one package either and each one of those games is double the price of Canyon.

As long as we're on the subject of Need for speed--the latest NFS game (Hot Pursuit) cost 69.99 at release, and EA actually -closed down- the forums because they didn't want to deal with the sheer amount of complaining about a legitimately crappy game. To writ: Free-drive was completely empty (it apparently wasn't originally in at release), no car customization which is what the series is known for, no random cop chases or racer busts if you're cruising around the massively open world, car balance is shite, weapons screw everything up, no anti-cheat measures online, terrible HUD, no replay feature which the graphics and gameplay would suggest would be mandatory...and that's just for starters, and the non-technical things I gloss over because I'm not that technical myself.

But also, like kamyl said, this game even with -one- environment beats out -any- other racing game on the shelf now, even ones that claim to have more than one environment. And the compilations that -do- have more than one environment? Beat out any other racing game now, or previous.
