And again, Sizeftw, in BF:BC2 the destroy system is pretty well done and usable online. And no lag (maybe if you have a shitty connection), no problems with that. So destroyable environment could be very ver cool IF well done  . And if Nadeo decides to do it, it will be well done

Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead has a destroyable environment, but not as cool as BFBC2.
We would be still lucky if Nadeo only puts some destroyable things, like trees or ground, it would still be good physics.

Now you can destroy the cars in TrackMania, Nadeo could put the same kind of damage to the blocks of the map. Simple.

lol serious?
the car damage is only seen by you. so eh..
shoot a hole in a wall, walk through and surprise the enemy from the rear.. As to them it's still a solid wall..

TBH I put this up before I realized 1) the damage model was as--odd--as it is, and 2) that it's client-side-visible only. :(

I like this idea if it's limited to certain prop/entity blocks only, like wooden structures, trees, etc. However, terain and important entities (flags, spawn points, etc.) should not be destructible. If I'm standing on top of a wooden shack sniping and someone kills me by destroying the house, I knew I was taking a risk and I ultimately couldn't beat the odds, but if I was sniping from the top of a mountain and I die because someone nuked the said mountain, than that's just stupid.

Not to mention the following scenario:

Player A needs to get to Players B and C's base, but Players B and C are camping the pass between two mountains.
Realistic solution: wait for backup or go around.
Destructible terain solution: 'Nade spam the heck out of one of the mountains until it crumbles to dust.

How about "/admin erasethis followed by /admin skip ?
As in my opinion that's a serious case of bad mapping ^^

I do get what you're saying, but i think (as all 3 titles will use the same .exe aka share the same engine) they would've added some sort of destructable scenery in tm2 already if it were possible with the current engine. Especially if you think of the low systemspecs to run the game.

If there's gonna be sticky bombs I want a whole team to do a sticky bomb rush
= Spamming a crapload of sticky bombs at one certain place on the outer wall of the enemy base or their spawn and detonating them all at once
= Overkill
