I am really curious about materials support.
Did we get possibilities to use different materials for objects (visual and physical) ?
It will be nice to use Cliff material (wiht XZ auto-uv) from canyon, or use two-sided alpha materials for detailed tree leafs, or make custom tree sprites.

Me too. I seem to remember that in the original plans there was to be an option to choose from pre defined materials / surface types with textures and or the ability to import custom texture.
