Some opinions :
- We need a different ladder (NO 60k/70k/80k/90k/100k) but unified one
- We need no rules on servers (free slots limits)
- Nadeo has to develope a good ladder formula this time
I wanna suggest another time to Nadeo to don't do the same errors again.
All those players will go away if :
- You don't close old TMN/TMU
- You don't unify the ladder (not all players are pro, and not in the same discipline)
- You limit again the 40 players for FreeZone (the biggest stupidity ever done)
Of course those are only suggestions, as the other i given in 7 years (never listened, you can see the result)
Finally you need only 1 thing so have success with this game: Unify the ladder and find the way to avoid boost (or not is the same)
Leave to players the possibility to play wherever they want doing the same LP they can do in another server....
Or at least do some LP instead 0 in the lwer servers and give the double in the other,
or the game will end when you will release it.
(even if i bought it immediately cause i love to support developers).

I think that Nadeo should deactivate the ladderpoints related serverlist (for the beginning, until we are on the same level with ladderpoints as tmnf) because now its like this, you have got a server, there are about 100 people, but if the server switches to yellow or red it doesnt take many time until its empty. I think the deactivating of the ladderpoints related serverlist would be a huge improvement for the moment and easy to manage I think.

Just played a bit online, and game is much more fun, i know this would be unpopular opinion, and most likely will not happen, but i think that on day of release of TM Stadium, Forever and older versions should be discontinued. It was passed 5 years since Forever was released, the only problem for this is players who just bought TMUF (max 1 year for example, and even that is maybe too much), their accounts should be transferred towards one of env. to stay fair towards them, for those who bought game many moons ago (like me), those should buy it again.
If you think about it, it makes much sense.

I don't think this is a stupid suggestion. I would agree for the older versions, while the forever one should stay connected. With this, you would prohibit the splitting of the community and you still had the argument that TM2 stadium is free. Therefore there would not be a problem in my opinion. If they want to keep on playing it, they simply move to TM2. Players who paid for United will still be able to play stadium with their united version.

hm now i re-read the post i guess he meant to discontinue just stadium from TMUF, and not the other environments.
anyway. looking at how many differences in opinion there still are in the beta, i think nadeo will have to consider quite some (small) changes for most people to feel comfortable with this idea. and then still, with the slightly different physics, it would mean that all rpgs, pfs and fullspeed tracks from older versions of stadium cannot ever be played again.
so, no, i still think it's a terrible suggestion.

I still think it's a good one

I mean with the slightly changes physics and not working PFs, we all had this before when coming from the TMSdemo to TMSunrise. And I mean, where is the problem with rebuilding some maps. If they don't work, then fix them. If they still don't work then build something new.
We had for example a nice discussion about the new canyon engine for stadium (including the lightning problems and shadows, see this thread
here). That is the main problem with the import function of stadium maps into TM2 stadium. It would have been better to completely remove this instead of player complaining about the new restrictions of this engine (while providing better quality in lightning). Stadium 2 could have been a fresh start, but now you simply have a bunch of not optimised maps for TM2 stadium.

sure, you build 200h a pf track and then you do it again couse physics has changed.

Ok, i own TMU, but i don't play other env. so yeah, maybe i did mistake when i said TMU not TMNF. Even better solution would be what TCQ suggested, keep TMUF, discontinue all other versions, so players who still want to play TMU env. can do it, but again, take NFS series for example, after 5 years period (or even less) they discontinue game, tho, it is not same type of game as TM, so maybe this comparison don't hold ground.
For other maps, well, they will still work on TMUF, and who wants to play them, no problem there. Some of the classics can be redone (from original author, or another author with permission). Also, with older maps players become bored, for example, last night i played TM 2 Stadium, and on few servers there was few old maps (it is fine when is just a few tho), and first thing that comes to my mind was "Common, give me some new maps, skip skip skip...

".
So, for maps i don't see a problem, i hardly notice a change in physics (while playing), and i think most of the older players can agree, that if there is a change, it is change towards better. Changes, and new maps will keep oleder players on game, while introducing new players = more fun for all players.
And even for PF maps etc., it is always fun to try new ones right?
