Hello, I'm having the following issue:
When I add an intro Mediatracker to my platform (station "Platform") track, then
1. It doesn't play at the beginning of a validation run, unlike if it was a normal race track (station "Canyon")
2. When I validate the map, exit the editor and enter the map in "Local play", the
intro is cut short at around 80% mark (give or take). This has happened to me on several platform tracks, but only on platform tracks.
Could anyone check if the same (cutting the intro short) happens to them?
Track in question:
http://tm.mania-exchange.com/tracks/504 ... latforming (editting password is "sex"). The intro clip contains FX Colors, some text, initial FADE and end FADE, and 1 Camera Custom clip that gets interrupted somewhere in between keys. The intro should last 21 seconds, but is cut around 18 seconds mark.
Further investigation:
1. When the map loading bar appears, the time it takes to load the map depends on whether some map of the same environment was already loaded before, or not -- so sometimes it takes 2-3 seconds, sometimes over 10 seconds (after a clean restart of Maniaplanet). And, the intro seems to be cut short by approximately the time it takes to load, minus some fixed constant.
2. When I used the option "Restart map" after it was already fully loaded, the intro was cut short by only about 0.5 second, but it still WAS cut.
This is how it should end and
This is where it gets cut in this case
3. My theory is that for whatever reason, the game starts "clocking the intro" once it starts loading the building blocks / creating the level geometry from them. The intro still plays from the beginning (always), but once the internal "clock" gets to the point where the intro should end, it abruptly ends and skips to the start countdown.
Could someone from NADEO have a look at this, please? Probably extremely easy to fix, and it's driving me nuts, because this way, I have no control of what players actually CAN see from the intro.
