I have the same problem as the other guys. Testing with the Easter egg files works like it shoud.
However, using my own files shows the icon in the editor but then there is no geometry to place.
I've triple checked the xml file. Right now I think that the problem might lie in assigning the materials in 3D Max. CoastKid, could you please elaborate a bit on how you do that? Do you assign the DDS files to the diffuse, specular and normal map slots in 3DS?

if problem in material, you need to check material name in max and in xml.
From manual:
"Don't bother setting up complex materials in your 3D editing program as these will be ignored during conversion. The only thing that will matter in the end is the UV coordinates and the material names. Material names will be mapped to texture files in the .xml file."

Thanks for your quick reply.
Material names in Max and XML are identical.
I haven't set up anything complex at all, just applied one simple material to the mesh.
I've just noticed that when I compile the Easter egg source files on my machine I get exactly the same error - folder icons but no geometry. If I use the downloaded output files everything works fine.
Could the problem lie in the fact that my personal folder is not "C:\Users\..." but in the same directory as the game itself ("F:\games\TM2\Personal Files\...")? I guess that's a question I have to ask the creator of the software.
