Thanks YouCan and Chevron! I wasn't aware of those possibilities.

There's no risk of me ever doing an 'official race' as it would just embarrass me—though it would make you guys feel better about yourselves. :)

Tested a bunch, is my controller broke or is it that below analog sensitivity of ~1.25 (could be slightly lower but definitely above 1.0) there is an artificial buffer such that a turn cannot be as sharp? Keyboard turns are sharper in comparison to default analog sensitivity of 1.0. It's like an artificially coded buffer or something because the time it takes to press an analog stick to the right is negligible.

If you guys are interested to test, just do A01 with sensitivity at 1.0, then again at say 1.5. There is a noticeable difference in how sharp the car takes the big right, atleast for me. I'd make a video, but youtube would flag me for copyrighting a song if I use my horn. :D

Play in offline mode, local play, single map.
This would be the easiest way, but it doesn't work for me: In local play - single map I don't get the official tracks in the track list. :?

You have to be offline YonCan. And I mean offline. Either turn your internet off or cancel the dialog when ManiaPlanet tries to connect to the master server. Then login offline.

Actually, the easiest way for me is to use "Install & Play" on MX. But to each their own. :) The only downside to using Install & Play is that is that you have to later delete the tracks from your "Maps\Downloaded\" folder, or else it borks up your official campaign and ghosts disappear and stuff (if you care about the campaign in the future at all).

Simple start the launcher. Then press the button to start the game. From this moment on press like an idiot ESC until you come to the profile selection menu. Then select your profile to connect to the game. Next there should be a message that asks you to connect to the game or stay offline. Click stay offline and you are done :)

Thanks hugely! You've given me a new game (well, the end of it, anyway).

Alas, I couldn't get this to work for 'platform'. Should it? If not, can the official 'platform' tracks be downloaded for local play?

I bought the game, I clicked to finish the purchase, and then, white screen, nothing happening. I hope the payment didn't work, otherwise there is a serious problem. And I don't want to try buying again, so, what's the matter here? How can I fix it?

I had this me too. The payment failed, no money has been taken. It's a little bug. You can restart your command.
