The spirit is that the environment of Maniaplanet 4 will be updated/upgraded, but there will stay some differences. For example, the oil tank of Canyon will stay without text on MP while it's part of the cool&nice fantasy of TMT. If I were to explain, I would say that you can eventually feel the reason when you think of mods, or the Raid title or the future. Maniaplanet is looking to be a place were players create. It's harder for us to make it like this and provide juicy stuff, but it's part of the big process of providing a place for players imagination. The distinction I make is: one is more "creation for players" and the other is more "creation by players" And the later one does not mean less or easier work ^_^ And both are cool, and I am happy to have the best we can imagine on both!

So if I understand correctly, all blocks of TMT will be available in MP with old-style textures, while TMT keeps being a funky mood? ^^

Also my unanswered question: will be the turbo particles available in MP skins?

That's the spirit, even if it more sophisticated than that (that's not only the textures, but the elements that are linked to the funky style) And for the particles, yes we would like to make them available. These are elements that we did not took time in the past for we had a platform to establish, but that are more likely to have better priorities for such products as TMT.

New efx is great and the possibilities to use them and bind those efx to car models (exhaust flames!), hopefully it´s like that? This question got a lot of interest of some 3D modelers on maniapark ;)

More highres (4096x4096 and up) textures please, I need that for new objects

You will be in the beta of Maniaplanet 4, for the reasons you give in-between your little sleeps. So, it will be a better time for special requests

You should add some personality into TrackMania 2 too. I'm not saying to make it identical to Turbo, but I never realised how much personality was missing from Trackmania until TMT :D

It's made to let players personalities more space ;) (the titles etc.)

Forgive me, but i'm a little bit confused now after reading the last 2 pages, will TM2 definitely be getting the visual upgrades from TMT?

Will TM2: Canyon look as good as TMT: Canyon once MP4 comes out? (upgraded textures, meshes, lighting, shaders)

I have a somewhat unrelated question, but is there anywhere where i can download a mesh (.obj, .fbx, .3ds or whatever) of the full Canyon car for skinning purposes? All I can find is a mesh of the body panels without the wheels, lights and other components which makes putting the finishing touches on a skin so much harder for me.

Do you have any WIP images you could share of the new canyon environment for TMT?

A few small questions from my side:
- Just to make sure: Will there be any differences handling-wise, between the TMT and Maniaplanet versions of Canyon/Valley/(Lagoon)? Somewhere I read that Stadium will remain untouched, so I was wondering if that's the case for the other envis as well.
- What will happen to the multi-env titlepack in Maniaplanet? Imagine someone who has Canyon, Valley and Stadium does NOT buy Lagoon when it comes out for Maniaplanet, will he still have access to the multienv titlepack or won't it work anymore because he's missing one collection?

With the new game platform for the consoles it is a not so big step to create also a version of TMT for Smartphones (iOS, Android). This will generate not much revenues there but maybe new players/purchasers for the desktop games..?
