Shootmania Storm 1.0 not working on Steam

I have purchased Shootmania Storm, Trackmania Canyon and Trackmania Stadium. With the 1.0 update, I am stuck in an endless loop. When I start the game, it says "Need upgrade to Shootmania Storm 1.0" I quit the game and restart it. It downloads something, but when the game starts, it says, again "Need upgrade to Shootmania Storm 1.0."

It does this even when I have uninstalled and reinstalled Shootmania.

Has anyone else ran into this? I think this is a Steam-specific issue.

Not necessarily Steam. Tray again in a few. I could update the regular (Steam-free) version without any issue ~10 minutes ago.

Also, you could try installing the non-Steam standalone version and see if that works... you have your player key now so you can play however. You can download it from:
http://player.maniaplanet.com

(enter your game credentials)

If it works, I'd try uninstalling the Steam one and reinstalling it.

Good luck!

I'm affraid it's not possible to save them as jpg. You have to open it with some paint software and rework and save to jpg yourself.

BMP is uncompressed so what you see is what you get.

steeffen, this is not the place for bug reports. besides this, expect wrong lightmap (you can fix by shadow calculation) I don't see anything on your screenshot, please explain more in detail -> open beta reports forum.

I just played some arrow melee... here is my feedback about the weapon:

It feels very weird, although i got somewhat used to the mechanics after a few games. There were a lot of complaints in caht about the splash/aoe being too big. Personally i thought the hitbox is too small while the projectile is in the air... it's very hard to hit players on ledges and in the air (the arrow is probably not suited for melee). It felt inconsistant (might be due to my low FPS) especially when you hit walls instead of the floor. As a weapon for specific tasks, on a platform or as an option in combo it might be ok though. I don't know.

My mean complaint (& request) however is that the projectile doesn't make sound, like rockets. Especially because it can be shot from below, above or behind a wall i think this is important. In many cases you have no clue what hit you. I think it adds to a game, especially for competative modes, that you can figure out where the attacker is, so you know which way to go if you want to start a pursuit or which way to run if you want to hide.
(Suggestion: something like a high pitched 'falling star' sound that changes pitch depending on the angle it is traveling or something.)

open beta is over, that's why i didn't know where to report the bug :s
the bug is not the lightmap but the castle goal which has air below it, usually there will get castle walls placed underneath it
