An environment where you drive a motorbike/motorcycle would be pretty cool, with the added gimmick of letting you rotate while in the air. I would put it in an urban area where you can zip through narrow alleyways and the like.
About motorbike thing, this is something i saw long time ago, its pretty cool 3D somebody made.
The speed boost that starts at 30sec is pretty intense
I like the idea of a Motorcycle environment, especially if they can get the driving and crashing physics good.
I think a sort of enduro bike that can handle fast paved roads, jumps, offroad and even trials style tracks would be cool. Then you could build to suit your desire. Motocross - Superbike - Trials - Offroad - Stunt...
It sure is fun to imagine a new car in a new "realistic" environment and landscape, but it might very well be too "similar" to previous environments (like lagoon may feel very similar to bay and island).
I'd expect something more "radical" (but I guess it's not very likely ).
Something that has never been done in a TM before, like a futuristic/space environment, with a vehicle that levitates instead of rolling.
We could use technical blocks, like portals, laser walls (that destroys the vehicle and force a respawn to the last checkpoint), and diverse gravity handling tools that are more than just magnetized roads.
We could even map on a small planet rather than on a flat ground, or inside a giant sphere. That would be quite complicated technically, but it should be quite awesome
I think the main dilemma for nadeo right now is how to create sufficent new content which looks "innovative" while not scaring people that prefer realism.

Magnetic Fieldline Manipulating Anti Gravity Drive Vehicle.
I like the "old environment remakes" that have been done so far but would love to see a new concept as well. What could be fun about a space or otherworldly environment is that it could even be based in an alternate dimension or universe where the standard rules of physics don't always apply.
I would prefer something ground based (for the most part) though, but Alien landscapes could be really fun to play with and in. There could even be giant plants or giant Ice crystals that have raceable surfaces. Gas vents that blast the car into the "air" when you drive over them. The environment of Avatar even comes to mind.
A Parallel Universe or Dimension could have unlimited creative possibilities.
I think, if we do get a snowy environment (which I think is likely), I'd actually like to see it mechanically be a modern take on Coast and its realistic driving. I always found it odd how the Snow environment was exceptionally grippy and zippy but Coast had a car that slid all over the place and was sluggish to get going. But I think a lot of ideas can be merged here, actually. As odd as it might seem, putting Coast's GP-style roads in a tundra environment isn't unheard of - I'm particularly inspired by Arctic Circle Raceway, up in Norway.
I think I have a vision for a compelling setting: Siberia, very specifically a particularly Soviet slice of Mongolia. Wide rolling hills that aren't permanently snowbound, but frosty and cold-looking, cliffs that hide frigid deserts and sand dunes like the Gobi, yurts, big-blocky Russian apartment buildings (they even look like Trackmania blocks in real life - forests of the same building, but you can claim they're realistic now!), massive statues of Genghis Khan, maybe an old temple here or there, you can even throw in that idea for having some old rusted-out industrial stuff. Tunnels can be bunker entries into sprawling abandoned missile silos, maybe related to the 'platform' of the environment, which overall would have a very military feel.
Car could be a trophy truck, or maybe it could be something more luxurious - a big boat of an executive sedan, maybe? Both work for Coast-style gameplay, slow to start off and reliant on keeping your grip, where if you slide you've probably messed up. While I like the vision of a big land-yacht, I admit the truck with honeycomb wheels is more solid, and gives me another idea - maybe in this environment, you're slippery and slidey on asphalt, but you have an incredible amount of grip, control, and speed off-road. May not work so smoothly though - too much incentive to just hop off the road to go faster. If you're doing that, a specific tile that enables this off-road grip might prove necessary.
It sounds like a fun and active environment to me. Lots to build, lots to race around.
All in all, some "Cool" ideas.
Trophy Truck would be my favorite concept but I could also find something big, heavy and lumbering like a HumVee kind of fun.
