Well okay, I'm sorry for my attitude...
But it's very irritating to get to know that you'll be thrown out of the bèta after 7 days, while you've helped a lot and not knowing what might happen afterwards... ;)

I think we have to show a little trust here.

I'm sure they'll take care of us the best they can.

After all, what are the developer's intentions? I think it's safe to assume that they want to make the best game they can and prepare it for as many people as possible. Isn't that in our best interest too? It's to ensure a stable game for the future.

I'm absolutely certain they want us to play. It's why they made the game, right? So they'll do what they can to keep us active.

The beta is also a time for them to test how the game servers will handle under the load of more players, as Hylis said a page or two ago. But it's a beta. They can't guarantee a perfectly smooth experience. This is why they have a beta, to fix things and get ready for release.

I know some have tournaments planned for July and are nervous that they and their participants won't have access to the game. It's a legitimate concern.

But, we'll just have to wait and see how things develop during the Beta.

We have intentions but they can change according to tests, so we don't know for sure. And when you announce something, it is rather better to be closer to sure.

I am happy with the 7-days for beta, but I am confuse. why can't alpha players play with beta keys longer?
And Valley can be released this year? And MP 2.0? (Maybe I am being impatient for news :))
But I think you can reply this Question: Why can't alpha players play with beta keys longer?

Because I think after the first seven days the servers can works well.

Alpha players already had the chance to play; some for days, weeks, and some even a month.

So shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't new players have more chance to play so they can catch up in their skills?

Just saying, the logic can easily go either way.

Well, I actually hope the Beta is fair for everyone and everyone gets the same chances.

Still, it's all about the testing, isn't it? I think we have to remember that "Beta" does not mean the game is released. It means the game is still in development. I think some people forget that and assume everything should go exactly the way they want it to.

We haven't bought the game yet though, and we'll be in the Beta at Nadeo's invitation.

I personally don't feel it's very friendly to start dictating to our hosts why we can't stay longer. I wouldn't do it if I were invited to stay a week with some friends. It would be excessively rude to presume to stay longer than I was invited. Of course I'd really want to stay all month, because I love being around my friends. But I also realize that my friends wouldn't have room for other guests if I stayed, which wouldn't be fair to those other guests. So I'll just enjoy the time I had and not overstay my welcome.

Maybe I took the analogy too far. :roflol:

So we have to sign up for the beta before the 2nd of July. Does that mean the beta starts on the 2nd of July?
