Your research isn't exactly great.
You'll notice that I've registered only very recently and don't have much posts, yet I own every version of Trackmania for the PC. Just because one isn't vocal as hell, doesn't mean he shouldn't be eligigle.

well i suppose i should point out to Nadeo/Ubisoft that i am Unemployed so that makes me the Ideal candidate for beta testing as i have all the time in the world to search for bugs!!!!
But no i wont expect a beta just for that reason but im happy to hear that they are testing it..... it show that it wont be too long now before final release

This topic somehow reminds me of the discussion I started in the Centralised News topic... it's all about who won't get beta keys and who will, and there's this little aspect of people who will actually work for making the game a better one and those who won't... just saying ^^
I personally have no opinion about what the beta test will be like. Everything might happen, even totally unknown players might be beta testers. You can't know about it. The persons I agree with most are dejavu and wiidesire. I'm sure there'll be a mix of old beta testers, other important and well-known persons, and users who are active in this forum (so no users who haven't posted for months or even never), maybe also the TM forum and/or the Maniazones. But I don't think there will be journalists in the beta test. Nadeo surely wants to keep the progress, bug findings, the actual game etc. secret to the public until it'll be released, and do you think journalists will really do that? Either they will get kicked out during the beta, or they won't even be accepted.
Anyway, I'm really excited for the start of the beta test

Would be plausible as well. But I think your 11k coppers won't be enough for a beta key, if a United key costed 30-35k coppers already, then a TM² beta key will probably cost the same or even more. I think that if there will be the ability to buy beta keys with coppers, then only people with more than 25-30k coppers will be able to do so.

well since you don't have coppers if you haven't got a united account I don't see the point... Though correct me if I'm wrong Ive only been around here since nations;)

It was possible for some time, but it isn't anymore.

Now, I'm reconsidering the idea of Nadeo giving the community beta keys...because there is so much infighting going on. There are members who post a lot but have only joined recently, there are members who have been here a while and have posted a lot...and the other ends of the spectrum, new and not post, and old and not post much. But whoever -does- get a beta key, there will be much anger and frustration on the part of those that didn't get a key...at least that's what I'm starting to see already.

I hope I get a key...but I don't think anybody will unless we can all play nice with each other...

I think, usually a few journalists should be in, as it is fun to read this preview articles in game magazines about coming games. And there you mostly have a final sentence like "this ... way a little buggy, but since the release is far away, we are sure this will be fixed". But i'm not sure if this articles are mostly because of a beta or the release candidate.

That was possible, until one month before i reached enough coppers to buy it ^^

If i would be nadeo,i would simply do it like the last tm beta (the one for forever). I was wondering when the beta will come out, and then i found out through a coincidence that a friend of mine already was doing the beta (and i was lucky to get a few weeks later a RC key). So it there wasn't really a problem with it.

I hope I get lucky and get into the beta. Partially just to be able to play it before my friends.

TM won't be the same for me without it. So I hope that too and it'll probably be there.
