So I see ther is no possible way for me to get the game, if there will be no retail release....
Reasons:
Im 16...
My father has no clue what online payment is....Nor will he give me his Credit Card xD
All of those alternative payments are not available in my (poor) country (Bosnia)....
Guess I will have to satisfy my needs by playing Beta :D

Get your friends to help. I'm sure that a friend of yours could set up the online payment and you give them hard cash in return?

To be honest, not knowing what online payment is in this age is a bit of a crime.. :/
I have a Youtube Channel xD

I will probably do something like that......
Well try explaining that to my dad, and other (aproximately) 1mil ppl in Bosnia who don't have internet at all.. (entire country has 4mill ppl, and by some magazines, more 50% doesn't have internet connection, thus the lack of knowledge for eBanking, online payment etc) :)

This depends on options given by online retailers who are distributing the game and/or DLC (environments). This thread covers majority of payment methods which Nadeo will try and cover to make it possible to get the game in any shape or form. 8-)

hello macarrony,

The Ubi-shop normaly supports paypal, so I think it will be also possible to pay with paypal ( it's a well known payment system, I would wonder if it wouldn't be possible)

as fastforza said ( thanks to him) this thread is a suggestion to Nadeo to make some payment methods possible, so that mostly everyone can buy the game.

Regards,

Max

I forsee some big issues if the game isn't sold in retail.
here's a few scenarios:

Economy wise psychology:
Not all people share the same faith in companies. Especially in this bad economy. What if Ubisoft goes bankrupt in a year? does that mean you can't do a fresh windows install and still play trackmania??

last minute purchase
Small LAN parties (max 30 ppl) are mostly in abandoned rooms without internet. The games people play are decided partly by what all have on their machines. If 3 people decide to show the coolness of the game, the others can't run to the store and get their own copy.

Accessories
One of the reasons CD's and vinyl still being sold is the fact people actually have shelves to fill. Nothing looks cooler than a row of great gametitles on a bookshelf. (especially if you already got a few titles of the same series)

Brain malfunction
Last but certainly not least, Trackmania got so big due to a massive community. That community started almost 10 years ago. Say you bought the 1st copy when you were 25+, this means now with the release of tm to the 2nd power you're around 35+. Your own memory isn't your best friend anymore.

Switching OS
If you do 2-3 reinstalls of windows a year, it's easy to forget you actually own certain games, thus don't install..
As you don't see the title on your shelves, the game loses another community member.
I know that from personal experience, as by typing this i just remembered i also bought a few other games.
