I have the hd picture now from the magazine. ( only the 3 pictures about shootmania)

Send a pm if you want it, I wont post it here, because Tm-Actu thinks they can make what they want with this pictures..

They have posted a link to their source, so i don't see a problem.
You expect them to give you credit because you are one of the people that copied those images and published them?
How come that they don't have the right to publish such a thing, and you do have the right?

just copies of the magazine are illegal but not if they were published online

I just want a link to maniaplanet ,its not about my glory, its about to make maniaplanet forums more interesting for others. I emailed to edge to publish this pictures and they said I can , so its not illegal

They quoted Edge as the source of the pictures, maybe someone of them has subscribed Edge? And to be honest, do you even know how the whole quoting thing works? In a scientific way, you always quote which person published the information, but not which person published the published information. Therefore you have to quote Edge, and TM-Actu has to quote Edge (and not to quote your quote where you quote Edge).

And here your proof, that they didn't quote you. Even though this can be your scans (they don't need to, but they can), who are you to say that you are the only person which came up with the idea to ask Edge if you can publicise them?

Ce sont des scans de l'article de Edge.

Il y aura des infos sur ShootMania avant la sortie du premier TrackMania². On a vraiment hâte de le présenter, mais on veut aussi bien faire les choses. La logique de Maniaplanet est d'avoir un fil d'actualité permanent, de part nos développement ou l'activité engendrée par les joueurs. Là, on doit encore mettre la machine sur les rails, mais ça va bientôt démarrer.

But what I wonder from your link, that this pictures are exactly the same like me ( same quality etc.) and is it really so hard to link to the offical site from the developers?

I mean you cant just say, oh here new pictures of Shootmania and some people do not even know what Shootmania is.

Then they have to google it and see , ah ok , Nadeo or something like that, but it would be easier to link to Nadeo or the offical forum directly in the post

You are not obligated to post scanned screens here (as you said, they aren't published on the web and i'm not sure about the copyright protections of printed media). But if they gave you the permission to publicise them, then feel free to share them with us.

Sure, this is a valid point, that the pictures look the same and so on. But i can't say anything about this, because i don't own the online version of Edge.

That's right. When writing a news, you should usually think about the information that an uninformed reader will need to understand the subject. But additional you probably don't know what the regular visitors of a specific site already know. And about the google stuff. Sure a good journalist would add the information, but shouldn't it be obvious to do own research, if there is something you are psyched about and it's digging you to do so? Then do it.

Some of you missunderstood, I just want that they link to maniaplanet forum, we have here 2000 members , 50% of that have no posts, the rest is inactive, we have just 30 members here, which are really active.

And about this the link to the forum. They need to link it, if this is their source, but should also add the source of Edge. And the post count says nothing about the activity of a user, there are many which are only here to read new stuff. To get a measure about activity it should be more likely to take a look at the date, when a specific user joined the last time, but this only indicates the users last activity, not his activity before. So be careful with such statements.

And last but not least, let's stop this discussion about copyright stuff, you need to know if you can/will publish something in the internet and live with the consequences (fast spreading and no chance to delete it).

Moreover we have quote Edge and don't panic if we won't quote Maniaplanet forums because as much as we can we quote this forum to be more active and attractive, but think to us we need to read the official french forum (http://www.trackmania.com/fr/forum/index.php) the English forum (tm-forum.com) and Maniplanet's forum (yes not only english but french part too with subforums etc etc...).

Due to the number of messages it's very hard to follow all forums and all posts.

thank you for understanding and reading , but again I dont want to have my name on this site, I just want a link to the maniaplanet forum

I will upload them, when I downloaded some steam programs ( I reinstalled my computer) , so my internet is very slow


note: I looked at all websites and they are the same quality even the same size, so they are 100% from me and not from another, but thats not the point

They're (almost) all TM players, and in the game you see links to this place everywhere lately.
