then old stadium players mostly won't be able to play it for free, since they don't own canyon, and won't buy it, because they already "have" it. my idea was that old stadium players who supported nadeo by buying TMUF could get it... I think linking tm²stad with TMUF rather than with canyon makes more sense. but surely the most sense would be no linking at all ^^

To give Stadium to TMN(F)->TMUF converters only would also not be totally fair towards those who skipped TMN and directly purchased TMUF.
All TMUF and Canyon players then?

Since it is not really fair to sell by a hand what you give by the other, we could expect Stadium 2 will be either free or updated (new blocks or whatever). (or the TMNF masterservers are shut down so that there is no parrallel gift, but i write it small to not shock the stingiest part of that community).

On another hand, Nadeo could release a demo of several environments, like it happened before TMN ESWC. (Original Demo with Desert, Sunrise Demo with Island and Sunrise Extreme demo with Bay). In that case, it would probably imply limited features (for instance, less blocks, and so on).

By the way, those who want a free to play should remember this business-model relies on advertisement, and advertisement pollutes the games... I'm not sure i wanna be force-fed of propaganda while gaming...

Am I the only one who think that the idea of paying for an updated version of TMNF that it's not an actual sequel is bad? I mean come on it seems like you will pay for something that it's already out have a few years ago and it's free, I really hope TM²S will be free, I want to see more people playing Maniaplanet and might get inspired to buy Canyon, Valley and Storm

You have all features of ManiaPlanet in Stad² like custom blocks, maniascript...

We need to wait until the announce if Stad² will be free or not.

for just players (racers) there will be nothing new generally.

why not do it the easy way and let you purchase tm2 stadium with coppers made in tm(n)f ??
(+ give it for free with a purchase of valley)
That way everyone wins. People who play it a lot got enough coppers to purchase. And that's the people you want/need to keep the community in tact.

Mmmm ... I don't think the free TMNF players have coppers ... or do you mean the retail TMUF?
