GT and Indy500 Races in Canyon on April 5th

The next Endurance Race in Canyon is comming on April 5th.
This Race will be driven on a Simple track over a distance of 500 miles!



The Rules:

Practice:
The Map will be uploaded on Server Indy Legends 500 in Germany/North Rhine-Westfalia for Practice on Friday.

Qualyfing:
Start is April 5th, 10PM CET
Local Records from Practice will be deleted, then you've got 10min of TA to set your Time.
Go into Pitstops directly after Qualy started to get your fuel for 10min.

Race:
Race will be in Lapsmode.
Starts about 10min after Qualy ended.
In Race you have to follow the Safetycar in first Lap and stop again in front of Start/Finish line. (Introduction Lap)
After ~2:10min you'll have a birds eye view that shows the Startgrid.
Take the position you've Qualyfied for.
When Camera changes back to normal view, there is a signal light to show you when to start.
After Start, drive into Pit to get fuel for 10,20 or 30minutes.

Pit Times:
10min Fuel: 6,5sec
20min Fuel: 18,5sec
30min Fuel: 30sec

Also the Tires get worse with time.
a 10min stint is no problem for your Tires.
with a 20min stint, you get shaking camera last 5min to simulat bad tires.
at 30min, the shaking starts after 20min.

The Race will take about 2hours to finish.

Smurfscup Canyon, each saturday in April at 20.00 CEST

A new month, new tracks, more prizes, come and see what the Smurfscup is all about!
This saturday, April 5, at 20.00 CEST we will start our Smurfscup with 7 new tracks on which you can drive.

We have 20.000 planets to divide EACH WEEK for the top 10. After the race of 25 April we even have 20.000 planets to divide by adding all points of the month April together without your worst week.

At the end of the month there will be an extra bonus for the players who participated in the Canyon Smurfscup and the Valley Smurfscup together. We will divide 12.400 planets for the top 5 of those players.

But even more important then getting those planets, its just fun!!
The Smurfscup will be driven in rounds on 7 tracks on our TM2 Canyonserver, Smurfen.net [Canyon], which is located in the Netherlands, Noord-Brabant, and starts each saturday in April at 20.00 CEST

You don't have to register anywhere to compete, we simply use your login to pay-out all prizes.
Just show up and you can join and enjoy .

The new Canyon tracks for this month April 2014 can be trained on our server when typing /rj and are:

Smurfscup [Canyon] The 100th Edition

At 3 march 2012 we started our first Canyon Smurfscup at Saturday 20.00 CET.
Here you can even see the Smurfscup results of 3 March 2012 on our old live webpage.

The top 5 of 3 March 2012 was

1. tbpotn with 919 points
2. versnellingspook with 607 points
3. 6hebus9 with 605 points
4. dawid-dada with 575 points
5. neonova with 513 points

Back then we divided 8.000 planets for the top 10 during those early smurfscups and raised our prices since then to 20.000 planets for the top 10 now! The total amount of planets paid is an estamation because of all extra monthy prices etc. and must be around 1.581.000 planets !

But as we allways say: More important then getting those planets, its just fun!!

Mappers!
We are accepting Map submissions for the event.
This is great opportunity to create something that
may be a bit different for you and also enjoyable :p

Map Guidelines

• Do not upload the map to TMX until after the maps have been released on June 14th
• Keep it fair, be honest, and don't let people play it until the maps are released.
• The map must be completable in 8-10 minutes with a minimum of 7 laps.
• No pitfalls, large jumps, or places players can easily get stuck.
• Try to avoid airtime - focus on all 4 wheels on the ground.
• Use signs to show direction
• NO mod maps
• Use enough CP's and check for Cuts!
• Other track elements are at the mappers discretion. Be reasonable though :p
• Make it a great map for Laps!

Map Submission

• 1 map per player
• Provide in-game name and TMX name (we need to know who to give credit)
• Provide a replay of your Personal Best or Author Time.
• Submission Deadline - June 8th
• Email your submission to arktm2@gmail.com

Map submissions have been coming in and we like what we have seen so far! There are few other mappers still working on their track and we hope to see more submissions soon. June 8th is the map submission deadline, and map selections will be posted on the 14th at www.ark-racing.com

Right now, the turnout looks great. Interest from emails and forums show that this is going to be a great event :p
