new music and also car engine sound would be great. i think alot of people plays Nations muted (me included), which is a bit of a shame when you think about it.

I keep the music muted or very low and just hear the sounds.

Hopefully the camera views and angles on TMN/TMU whilst driving will be retained and used in TM2 Stadium, as the cams views on TM2 Canyon are far too low and viewing the track ahead is very restricted (can't see over even the slightest rise in the track compared to TMN/TMU)

Finally, regarding the blocks for trackmaking ... Can we have block end that we can see instead of those dull redish brown ones that I keep crashing into because I can't see them that well. I have no problems with see the TMN/TMU ones at all.(Arrowed - see image)

Just whatever you do, don't add crap/poles/fencing on the block borders like you did on canyon.

(and please don't enable the "auto generate poles" underneath track)

I agree. In TM (1st) it felt like you was racing in a stadium as if you were practising for an event. A populated stadium will really add that feeling of being in a big, final race event.

For the training and single player sessions, there is no almost no population, as you can also see here

However in multiplayer it could be fun to see filled stadium, and also to hear the cheers of the crowd whenever one reaches the finish

Hi, well I have just a minor suggestion regarding the standard car model in stadium:
It has the "head", the helmet, which is tilting in turns like its mounted on a spring.
so I suggest to REVERSE the direction of that movement, so that in a turn the helmet will tilt towards the inner part of the turn, much like a human head would do.

Most of the suggestions in this thread sounds really good, especially with updated sound effects like populated stadium and car engine. However, I am afraid that this is going to be more or less a pure import to the ManiaPlanet with only a few changes to graphics along with ManiaPlanet editor. But here is my ideas towards the perfect Stadium environment (competition-wise):

1. A fix to the worst bugs that may appear on ramstein or from dropping down on the road (landing bug). Also the rare ones where you bug in the middle of the track, or during a transition from grass to road (especially with the ramstein). I do see that there is a different opinion about the bugs, so an optimal solution would be a choice to make blocks with or without ramstein added. So in theory there would be 2 versions of each road-block, one with ramstein and one without. A practical solution to this could be solved like we today press the "bucket" icon (see image below) that allows you to select the blocks to add signs/advertisement. In the same way, you could have a similar button that easily switched between the two versions of the blocks. Other more positive bugs like grass-bug and speed-bug should not be changed of course, as it gives the game more depth in driving techniques (like powerslide).

2. Checkpoints that do not require their own blocks. Instead, an "add-on" to already excisting blocks. This would solve the cut problems in most cases. To totally seal it off we could add an option for giving numbers to the checkpoints so that they have to be driven in the correct order before entering the finish. The more and closer checkpoints you can have on a competition map, the more detailed analysis of your performance and speed after each turn you will get.

3. More variety in blocks for the editor. When I use the editor myself, I often come across loads of ideas for great transitions and new shapes for blocks. Luckily we have the TMUnlimiter to refresh the current range.

4. Spectator-mode. Where are the mysterious slide marks? A small but quite strange detail that is currently not added to TrackMania Nations Forever. I also miss updated and better variety of cameras for spectators, especially a stable cam1/cam2 option.

5. Better integration for streaming services, partner/sponsor logo's and detailed driving statistics. I don't know who is in charge of the FAST server config, but we are getting closer to something here with more advanced options for Checkpoints, player-points, etc. If you look at Starcraft 2 after a game ended, you will be able to see all statistics and details made during round which gives the possibility to reflect/examine your own performance. I think I speak for everyone when I say; The more detailed statistics, the more fun!

Other ideas giving a new refreshement to the game:

1. I saw this request in an article by fragster and thought it would be a great idea. Multiplayer-mode in the editor. A solution similar to Minecraft would be astounishing, where blocks are locked to author and can only be edited by others if permission allowed. This opens up alot of great interactions for multiple authors to share creative ideas and try it live. Imagine how powerful it would look if one could drive and the other make blocks at the same time. I don't know how hard this would be to code/script, but the idea is preposterous!

I'm one of those people that actually think that the rammstein gives the game more depth and makes it a better competitive game. That is because the rammstein makes it so you need to take a decision if you want to drive safe or risk it, which creates interesting situations in match-scenarios. I think that's a part of the game that's usually not seen but that in my opinion is quite important. Without it, it's just too dull. So I definitely don't think it should be removed.
Instead perhaps it could be made so that it resemble the rammstein as it was in TMN ESWC instead, which wasn't as "buggy".
But I suppose your solution to make it a choice is acceptable as well. I just hope the rammstein won't be removed from competitive play because of that.

As for your other ideas I definitely agree with all of them. There are so much that can be added to this game that wasn't in TMNF that would make it a much better game and a much better esport. I'll make sure to come with ideas too once the beta starts (when will that be exactly, anyone know?).

I understand the point of view, and in most situation you are partly responsible for the outcome of the ramstein bug by risking or going too close on buggy parts. But for me, the thought of a bug-free road ahead compensates the annoying moments of bugs in this game and is tempting me to at least try a version without ramstein/bugs.

If I loose because of bugs, I would feel bad. If I won because my opponent bugged I would also feel bad, because I knew it wasn't because of my skill that I won. Never the less, It's not _that_ critical from my side. I am still playing the game after 5 years ^^. But like I already mentioned, I think the chances are low that the original track/bugs will be changed in TM2 Stadium, so I am fully prepared for bugs to still be present in the imported version !

I think you can control the rammstein in all situations, it's just that this game is so fast and it's such small margins that it can seem like you don't have any control of it, especially so if you're not as good of a player. But skills are definitely always involved in my opinion.
But as I said it definitely got a lot harder with TMNF in compare to how it was in TMN ESWC, perhaps a bit too hard. So that's why I think it could be a good idea to make it closer to how it was in TMN ESWC instead.
