Why? Shouldn't we stay together as a community? :thx: After all, most stuff that applies to Canyon also applies to Stadium.

Forum Suggestion -- Title Pack Sections

Post by Alter-Fox »

Hello world. Or at least Nadeo and community.
I think it would be helpful for each game's subforum (trackmania 2, shootmania and questmania) to have a subforum for creators to post their title packs. I've been searching for some good ones to install now that I've decided to get back into Canyon, and I have to go through pages and pages of the "generic" section of the Trackmania 2 board to find even one title pack. I can't find the packs on the author's manialink either, at least not without finding the author's manialink, which means I'd have to know the exact address (this is why I don't like manialinks). Also it would mean knowing who the author is, which won't work if I'm just browsing :P. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like this finding of new title packs to play, to be just a little more convenient.

You could always read the stickied topic in the Title Packs forum. Users who release title packs should also post to that topic to let people know about their new title pack.

I think custom content made by players has some visibility issues because of the rather large chunk of the other languages section and to a lesser extent because everything is a bit clumped together in the Nadeo Tools section.

I'm talking more specifically about the title packs sticky in the "Title Pack & Custom Data Creation" section like mentioned above. It seems a bit hidden and I'd love to see it moved up to the main TrackMania and ShootMania section. Luckily people usually post their packs in those sections so it's not that big of a problem.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for custom gamemodes posted in the "ManiaScript" section. People just post them there and the majority of users probably don't even see it. Seems a bit of a waste but then again, I don't know how many people are actually interested in custom gamemodes and the like.
