@people: stop posting links to cheat, cheat name or whatever, don't make it spread faster
@admins: remove the links to the cheat websites please

Re: Hacker Spotted
That's useless. Only serves to hide the cheaters and make any more posts about it less likely. What any cheat can't really survive is being exposed and out in the open. They need to be in the shadows, just outside the normal flow.LORDMORGOTH wrote:@people: stop posting links to cheat, cheat name or whatever, don't make it spread faster

Anyone who want to cheat just needs google.
Those who don't want to cheat might still want to know what people are talking about. They just don't have the interest to dig for it.

Re: Hacker Spotted
do you know how many people can find the cheats from the direct link on this website and want to "give them a try"? Maybe you are not familiar with games ruined by cheatersMuNgLo wrote:That's useless. Only serves to hide the cheaters and make any more posts about it less likely. Re: Hacker Spotted
I am familiar with game after game where cheatthreads on official forums gets moderated to oblivion and making it easier for the devs to write it of as nothing worth attention. This also happens on community driven pages for specific ladders/competitions.LORDMORGOTH wrote:do you know how many people can find the cheats from the direct link on this website and want to "give them a try"? If people want to give cheat a try no-one can stop them. But making as much info available for everyone makes it harder for them to hide. If even a casual gamer would be able to spot a cheater they would get booted of servers constantly. Problem is to engange people to actually use what venues of actions they have. Like votekick/voteban.
The more info gets passed on can only result in a more aware community.
Hopefully that will result in people actually not refusing to vote yes on those votebans when cheaters come along.
Just don't let them hide, call them out loudly and expose them for what assholes they are.
And that's my opinion without going for the e-penis measuring you wanted.
Oh and on this specific example it was only available for those cheaters who was vip status. As in it isn't free and so on. Severely limiting the "just want to try" cases you want to hinder.
Re: Hacker Spotted
Dude, an aiming engine isn't perfect, especially not if you give it a wide-spread to look "authentic". It's basically a movement prediction system, if you dodge hard, sprint unpredictably in the air, or simply stay put then it'll fail. It's using vectors to predict the movement, which is why it can not lock you when your just staying in front of it, it'll then aim slightly right or left of the hit-zone it is adjusted to aim at.Sephis wrote:Rofl. You can clearly identify a user, if he totally fails to keep control of his mouse movement in normal gameplay, does 180 or 360 turns all the time, and instantly locks-in in flying or flinking motions.
...but you're one of those who'll always doubt someone is cheating. Same stuff back then in 2k and cs, some just are to naiv. Basically, you have to play on a high level by yourself to understand "what" is possible and what is "artificial" !
