If you like a game, buy it to support the developers!

Sorry, mate, I can support amateur enthusiasts who release shareware software, but "support the developers" sounds like "support your bank and give 10% of your money to bank chairman". I think game producers should NOT be "supported" - they release products and if product is good, people will buy it (not "support") and if is not - people can even write their negative opinions, like kamyl does. If he says is it funny to sell free game as non-free product, it's his right. This is natural user feedback. But ridicule someone because of negative feedback is, as far as I know, not even wrong, but against good net rules.

Saying it is funny is freedom of speech and indeed in good countries a right. Playing free games however is a privilege. I don't know where you are from but there's a big financial crisis going on and live is about, how annoying ever, making money.

Excuse me - "big financial crisis going on"? This works both ways. Game producers have problems, people have problems. If everything is about money, then I have less money that game producers, so I'll choose to not pay. Because of financial crisis, right?

it's really not that easy to understand.
you might consider it as a endless vicious circle.

One day the baker's son wants to play.
But what? oh, nice, TrackMania is there... so he asks his father for a few dollars of his pocket money account.
The few dollars are multiplied by other players which also by TrackMania.
This gives the gamestudio money to continue development, but more especially to pay the developpers.
And they go to the bakery, to buy bread, sandwiches, cakes etc. so the money goes back to the baker.
Some days the baker gives cookies for free, that makes customers happy.
One days Nadeo gave Stadium for free, and the whole community was happy.
But now the regular products cost again something - not a huge lot, only a bit, suddenly everyone is upset?
Strange the people still go to the baker and buy their daily bread.
So why not buy again something from Nadeo (or from another company)?
Free is nice, but it totally distords the reality, and can't be for ever.

Now if you stop bying anything, you certainly keep your money,
but you also cause others to have less money instantaneously,
and this is where the actual crisis really starts.

Of course games and luxury articles are the first things that get avoided in a financial crisis,
but people also have more time , so they start playing again more than before.
some day they will find the cheaper games, and possibly prefer ManiaPlanet against 60$ games, even if they might look and feel much better.
But honestly, I prefer to drive around in my own maps and to build maps or on community created maps on servers than on "perfect" replicas of racetracks like NASCAR or F1 circuits - its just a different game style.

Everyone who claims free versions, but also complains about any issue, should reconsider the thinking.
That ManiaPlanet is not running smoothely yet, this is now well known, and Nadeo also admitted this and posted excuses.

The only big fault Nadeo has done was to not communicate early enough the plans for TrackMania ² and ManiaPlanet,
but they are learning and improving, I can see this from all what I have read in the past few years.
they have been totally surprised and caught by the wave they started originally.

Now we have open betas, with a relaunch of the not yet completely finished Canyon, so let's work together and help Nadeo to find all leftover bugs and to really improve it for the majority of the players.

Everything sounds nice for someone who don't understand how market works. If you give discount for someone and then take that discount back, you'll never revert to starting point - you loosing customer. The same is when you give something for free as a bonus (Stadium was that "bonus" to United and now people think that will be bonus for TM2) and then take back that free bonus, people will be disappointed. Their brains are not computers with "reset" button. They will be feel bad and cheated. That is what business works. If you want to earn new money, made new product.

Ah, it is new game? Really? I don't see any visual differences. There is new sound but gfx is the same (except works slower). Come on! If small changes are paid then every complex mod should be paid too.

I understand that Nadeo and Ubisoft make this great game, but it doesn't mean that we must love everything and admire every decission! Please! This is not "who is biggest Nadeo/Ubi fan" competition! You get no planets for beeing worshipers.

gfx is better actually. also, there are loads of MP functions - scripts, objects, titles... you can't expect for them to be used instantly. once people will get how to use them and create some cool stuff, difference between old and new stadiums will increase.
